I had a very positive experience at the Kolkata FRRO office today. I visited around 2:00 PM for biometrics, and even though it was during lunch hours, the entire process was completed within just 15 minutes. What impressed me the most was that although I was informed the process would take 1-2 weeks, I received the confirmation emails within just 3 hours. Excellent service overall. Kudos to the Kolkata FRRO team!

Before my visit, I contacted the reception and was guided to carry a printout of the QR code along with my passport. I followed the instructions, and everything went smoothly. During my visit, I was impressed by the discipline and professionalism of your staff. I noticed how seamlessly the team supported each other--for instance, when one staff member was away for lunch, another immediately stepped in to assist. This reflects the efficiency and cooperative spirit of your office. The entire process for my case was completed in just two minutes, thanks to the helpful and courteous staff. I truly appreciate the way visitors are treated with respect and care. Please continue providing such excellent support to all visitors. The service here is absolutely terrible. No one speaks properly, there's no system, no timing at all. If you have a source, your work gets done quickly; otherwise, they just make you wait endlessly. During verification, if you don't bribe the officer, they don't even submit your file - that's the system at Passport Seva. Such poor service is only comparable to that of a government hospital. For a passport, instead of charging 1,500, they should be charging only 100 -200.

Went for Fast Track Immigration Biometrics, process was smooth but they didn't mention that we had to take the print out of the QR, so remember to print out the QR beforehand. Although, there's a print shop across the road. No car parking available in the vicinity, so definitely public transport will be preferable.

The contact number ending with 640 is invalid. Calls going through the other number but the staffs never attends call, neither corresponds to mail. I wonder what they are busy with. Can someone clarify if they speak only Hindi ?. Are they qualified to handle foreigners related papers? What a shame!

It was a horrible experience. The reception lady I think her name is Munmun needs to get a professional and behavioral training. She cannot communicate properly and is awkwardly rude. I personally believe she needs therapy!
