I am writing to respectfully request an update regarding my visa application, which was submitted on the 28th of July, 2025,Visa type - Employment visa the Consulate General of Italy in Kolkata. I was previously notified that an interview would be required to process my application. However, to date, I have not received any formal communication via email or phone call regarding the scheduled date, time, or further instructions for this interview. Could you kindly look into my application status and advise me on when I might expect the interview details? I want to ensure that I do not miss any important communication from the Consulate. I submitted my Study D-Visa application on 14 October 2025, and since then, there has been no update, clarity, or indication of the current status of my file. The processing time has already extended far beyond the expected timeline, and this prolonged uncertainty is causing significant stress and anxiety for students like us. Every year, numerous students apply with hope, effort, and financial investment. However, continuous delays in visa decisions have resulted in: Loss of valuable time, money, and academic opportunities High levels of stress and frustration Risk of losing an entire academic year Difficulty in planning future studies and commitments We fully understand that the consulate may face a high workload and administrative challenges. Nevertheless, the complete lack of clarity leaves students in a vulnerable position and places our academic careers at risk. Many applicants are struggling emotionally and mentally due to this prolonged waiting period. Therefore, I respectfully and urgently request your assistance in reviewing my application and providing an update regarding its current status. At the very least, kindly provide a clear timeframe so that students like us can plan our academic future accordingly. Your guidance and support in this matter would be immensely appreciated and would help alleviate the pressure experienced by many applicants. They must be one of the most efficient and helpful foreign consulates in India. I got my Italian work visa from here just under 2 weeks in 2024 and they were extremely responsive. I applied a tourist visa for my mother in 2025. To obtain a visa bond, a scanned passport was required and my mother's passport was with the consulate. When she wrote to them, they promptly scanned the passport and send her back. Excellent service.

PLEASE READ THIS . I submitted my type D study visa file on 2nd week of October 2025 but till now no response today's is 6 th of December 2025 . I was a working person but for pursuing my Master's i quite my job and my master's classes are already started. Just imagine now I am only able to sit in a corner of my room and count days no earning no learning just wait and wait . They don't bother anything I am writing this I know they will read this but no action will be taken. I called them mailed them but they only behave rude a lady is behind the phone always speak so rude. I think she is thinking only she is running the Consulate and she is the next prime minister of India as well. Students are the next future and great way to maintain a good relationship with two countries. It's my request if any Italian officer or any officer see my review please take action regarding this. ( THIS MAIL ID IS NOT MINE , I JUST GAVE REVIEW BY THIS BECAUSE THIS CONSULATE CAN DO ANYTHING I HAVE A FEAR THAT THEY WILL HOLD MY FILE FOR A LONG TIME AS POSSIBLE SO I USED MY FRIENDS MAIL BUT EACH AND EVERY STATEMENT IS REAL AND I WROTE OUT OF DISAPPOINTMENT). And one more thing please dont believe in this fake ratings who are giving 5 star . Because they tell everyone to give a rating on google when they submit their file for DOV and students often thing that if they will give a 5 Star rating then their process will be easy. They play mind games also . Don't believe in this so called 4.5 rating. If we filter original reviews it will stand on 2.5

I am from Sohra, Meghalaya. The experience today (8.10.2025) at Kolkata Consulate of Italy was excellent. It just took only few hours to get my Visa. All the staffs are very cooperative. Please keep continuing your good work.
