Chetla Post Office

Horrible service.. went to make KVP today. Sagar Chakraborty (Post Office/LIC Agent) sitting outside on table is the most MANIPULATIVE person & a LIAR too. The Sub-Post Master is in connivance to the whole conspiracy. They refuse a valid VOTER ID CARD, as KYC ID, while on INDIA POST WEBSITE its mentioned as acceptable. They coerce the depositor to provide Adhaar Card asserting it as mandatory. But its a big LIE! AS PER SUPREME COURT VERDICT, Adhaar or biometric is no longer mandatory for any financial agreement or KYC in India. Behaviour of Sagar Chakraborty (Post Office/LIC Agent) is terrible, he yells at you when you talk logically about the Supreme Court verdict regarding Adhaar. He gets even rude and bitter, and attacks you personally, if you want to talk to Sub Post Master directly. Many other post offices accept Voter ID & PAN still.. So, I have decided to go for another PO. SUB-POST MASTER also refused to accept valid Voter ID as acceptable document for KYC. When I asked her to put this in writing on her OFFICIAL LETTERHEAD - she went MAD at me!! Sagar Chakraborty (Post Office/LIC Agent) LIED TO ME about the Commission, I cross-checked with other sources later. He thinks all depositors are fool and can be MANIPULATED. He told total agent's commission on KVP is .1%, that's a LIE!! Its actually 1% as on today, 14th Dec, 2019.

Speed post is available.. However the receipt for speed post is provided on the next day.. They take your name on the day when you come to post and accordingly provide your name next day and get receipt

I am highly satisfied with the service.As reached for speed post .They did it as much fast as possible with due care.
