Detailed review: We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Hyderabad, booked via SmartBuy, and got a very good deal. The main priority for this stay was a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay overnight, and it delivered well on that front. Rooms are quite small, with no dedicated cupboards for clothes, which is manageable for a short stay. The shower area is extremely tiny and barely usable, which is the biggest physical limitation of the room. Service was excellent. The staff was attentive, courteous, and responsive, which helped offset the compact room size and made the stay pleasant. Our rate included breakfast the next morning, and it was very good in terms of taste and variety. This added significant value to the overall stay. One notable downside was the WiFi. Connectivity was poor and unreliable, making it difficult to use consistently. Mobile network coverage for both Vi and Jio was also weak, which made the situation worse. This may not matter much if you are only staying overnight and not relying on internet access, but it is something to be aware of... Overall, Holiday Inn Express is an excellent value-for-money option if you are looking for a clean, safe, and efficient overnight stay with good service and breakfast, and can manage without reliable WiFi.

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Although it was crowded during our visit (which was understandable as it was the Christmas holiday week), yet the staff handled everything calmly and professionally, always with a smile! Check-in/out were super smooth. The staff was very helpful and prompt to fulfil any request. A special thanks to Pallawi Munda, a truly beautiful soul who understood our request perfectly and helped us with genuine care, just like family. The staff work like one big family, and that warmth is the biggest reason anyone would want to stay here. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed- clean, efficient, and reminiscent of budget hotels during foreign travels. Do not expect grand rooms and washrooms. Breakfast was good, the gym has all the basic equipment, and the laundromat with washer and dryer was extremely useful for us during our long stay in Hyderabad. Overall, a very pleasant and well-managed experience.

If Holiday Inn Express, Banjara Hills was aiming for the most disappointing stay possible, congratulations -- you've absolutely nailed it. From the moment we entered, we were welcomed by an unforgettable stale, unpleasant smell in the lobby -- the kind that makes you question if housekeeping and management have ever met each other. But I kept an open mind, thinking the stay couldn't possibly get worse. Oh, how wrong I was. The reception staff deserve special appreciation -- not for hospitality, but for their remarkable arrogance and absolute disinterest in guest well-being. Asking a question or sharing a concern felt like a personal inconvenience to them. You'd think a simple smile or willingness to listen would cost them their salary. The room came with a bonus feature -- a shower room door that wouldn't close properly, ensuring half the bathroom turned into a mini swimming pool after every shower. We reported this to the front desk, expecting some basic follow-up. Silly me. Apparently, guest feedback is just background noise here, and maintenance must be a fictional department. The morning checkout was the grand finale. No staff assistance, no courtesy, no concern. My elderly mother and I carried our own luggage while the reception team watched like we were invisible. When I asked for help, the gentleman at the front desk responded with the kind of rudeness that deserves a spot in their training manual for what hospitality should never be. And while handing over the keys, his tone made it sound like we were an inconvenience to him. Quite an experience. I truly hope senior management reads this -- because unless frontline training, hygiene standards, guest support, and basic human courtesy improve, the only express happening here will be guests walking straight to another hotel. To anyone planning a stay: if you enjoy indifference, damp floors, stinky lobbies and rude receptionists -- this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Your sanity will thank you.

My flight arrived late and so I Checked in around 2:00 AM after calling ahead to confirm late check-in. Was given a very small room with a strong bad smell. Even the entrance had a sewer/gutter odor that felt unhealthy (especially for allergies/asthma). Went back to reception around 3:00 AM--no better rooms available. Moved the next day to a slightly bigger room but smell continued, so I canceled the rest of my stay. Also, I booked last-minute and paid about $120 (typical rate looked closer to ~$30), so the room condition was even more unacceptable for what I paid. Food was good and staff were mostly polite, but one comment that this is "Express so keep expectations low" was unprofessional. Cleanliness/odor and handling of late arrivals need major improvement.

The name itself is not very much visible. You will to strain a bit to find it. Yes the hotel rooms are very small and compact. It's ok for single occupancy and but double, it's a nae. The lobby area is good and so is the restaurant area. The staff is friendly. I never faced issues with hot water or anything but yes, most rooms had kettle issues. Food was decent. I didn't have much complaints there. Overall I mentioned, it's meant for business folx only. For families, it doesn't make sense. Would I recommend it? Depends what I've commented above. Rooms are okay . Well maintained, bit small but since it's a business hotel, it's adjustable! Breakfast is ok, could have more options and could taste better ! Many items ( especially the bakery products) could be fresher! Staff is amazing! Sandhyarani at the breakfast was very helpful

Overall fine experience in terms of stay. Breakfast was awesome with quite good assortments to explore from! On the flipside / hotel needs to really work on certain areas - entrance (first impression) was pretty bad. The area stinked as we entered gate. Carpet in room needs changeover or removed as room smelled like crazy due to this. Also, carpet seemed pretty dirty. Can cause unwanted respiratory infection etc Check-in times can certainly be improved as it is merely impossible for business traveller to wait for 20 odd minutes
