The appointment system was well organized, and the waiting time was minimal. I recently visited the VFS Global office in Coimbatore for my Germany Schengen visa application, and my overall experience was very positive. The entire process was completed in around 45 minutes. There was only one applicant ahead of me, and I was attended to immediately after. The staff were efficient, organized, and professional, which made the process smooth and hassle-free. I opted for the Premium Lounge service. The total amount I paid was 14,852 for the Premium Lounge option. The normal service costs approximately 2,000 less than this. With the premium service, courier and print charges were complimentary. They also informed me that if any document was missing, it could be printed there itself. The ambience was comfortable and well-maintained. Tea and coffee were available, and snacks were also provided for those who wished to have them. These small amenities made the overall experience more pleasant. They informed me that the processing time would be approximately 15 working days, starting from Wednesday when the application is processed by the Embassy of Germany in Mumbai, even if the documents are submitted earlier at VFS. Important points to note: The office is located on the first floor of the Caledon building (Pricol Properties). There is no dedicated parking for VFS visitors. Parking is reserved only for Boomerang customers, so visitors may need to arrange alternative parking nearby. Laptops are not allowed inside. They must either be left in your vehicle or deposited with the security at the entrance. Overall, the experience was smooth, efficient, and completed much faster than I expected. I would definitely recommend this center to others applying for a Germany visa.

I came in for my UK visa biometrics and This place is really convenient for locals. And there's no rush at all, everyone where so patient and kind from the security to the staff they made everything go smooth without any issues. Subject: Strong Complaint Against VFS CJB (Coimbatore) - Extremely Poor Service for Germany/Schengen Visa I am sharing my disappointing experience with VFS Coimbatore (CJB) for my Germany/Schengen Tourist Visa application, so others are aware before choosing this centre. I applied for my visa on 14/11/2025. Despite clearly mentioning and highlighting that I am flying crew with Airlines and cannot perform my duties without my passport, the way my application and passport were handled was extremely unprofessional. My passport was with VFS/Consulate from 18/11/25 to 28/11/25. Shockingly, it took 4 days for my passport just to reach the Germany Consulate in Mumbai. And again, it took 4 more days to be delivered back to my residence. VFS sent me only one message: "passport dispatched through courier." No tracking details were shared. No updates. No follow-up. Nothing. Today, when I finally received my passport (through bluedart courier), I was told that the delay was due to "pin-code issues." Had VFS provided the tracking details, I could have managed my time better and saved my duty schedule. Instead, I have been on leave for 18 days, waiting with zero visibility, incurring loss of time and salary. Even banks, while delivering a credit card/ATM by Blue Dart, send proper tracking information. But VFS--after forcing applicants to pay for a "premium service"--could not share even basic tracking details. I was pressurised to opt for the Premium Lounge services, paying 3,200 extra, which supposedly includes "fast-track processing" and "priority courier to doorstep." Unfortunately, neither of these services were delivered as promised. Overall, dealing with VFS CJB has been a horrible experience, and I will never choose this centre again in my life. My suggestion to everyone planning a visa: Try to apply directly at a centre near the actual Consulate. The wait is better than wasting money and losing time like this. Attaching below the only messages I received from VFS for your reference. No physical slip was provided during submission. Highly disappointed and mentally stressed due to the lack of transparency and accountability.
