Had visited the office for the renewal of my daughter's passport with online appointment. Although the process was efficient. There are a couple of flaws - Only one person could stand in the queue to obtain a token which is ok but there isn't much space to wait. The token no. and the counter no. Is displayed on the screen/tv/ display yet you are asked to pay attention to the staff members calling out names, I don't understand the need of this additional step, it only causes too much noise. Counter for coffee and light snacks and washrooms available inside the office itself. Parking not allowed inside the premises.

I had my PSK Coimbatore appointment on 27.10.2025 for my 4th-time passport renewal, with expiry due in July 2026, and an address change within Coimbatore. It was a wonderful experience overall. I had carried more than eight original documents to substantiate my new house address, but the verification process was smooth and efficient. The entire process took around 40-45 minutes, and all the staff were polite and professional, even while managing a large crowd. The experience I had today was a hundred times better than what I experienced earlier at Riyadh, Jaipur and Lucknow PSKs. My sincere thanks to all the PSK Coimbatore staff who serve the public so courteously and with a smile. One small suggestion: At the exit gate, the security guard who collects feedback on the small LED touchscreen notes down our token number and sometimes selects "Good Service" himself for all categories before submission. In my case, I personally chose "Excellent" and gave full ratings -- I feel the guard should allow applicants to enter their feedback themselves instead of doing it on their behalf. Also PSK should write to Cbe Admin to remove "no parking" sign board opposite to PSK. Peculiar to understand where the poor public will park if there is "no parking"?

Parking available only for two wheelers, drinking water, washrooms, coffee/ snacks available inside the passport office in the waiting area. Photocopy(xerox) available inside the office at Rs 4 per copy. As soon as you enter, get your documents verified, take a token and wait in waiting area. The A and B verification is quick and done in less than 10 mins. The C stage(granting zone)takes 1-2 hours as there is only one granting officer at a time. Overall, hassle free experience. Please note that they keep asking us not to take calls inside the office for some reason, could not verify if it is rule in this office One extra thing I noticed were books available to read while waiting so you don't have to be glued to your phone all the while

I had a tatkal appointment for Passport re-issue on 10/02/2026 at 16:00 and reached a bit early around 15:15 and as it was not very occupied, I was let in right away. 1)First, they will verify the required documents and if the details in the documents are correct, then you will be issued a token number. 2) Once your token number is issued your name will be called forward to do the required procedures. 3) The procedures are into sections A,B,C respectively. 4) Section-A: The documentation attached as copies with the Appointment letter is scanned and uploaded, You will be posing for your Passport photograph and your biometrics sre recorded. 5) Section-B: Keep the Appointment letter and the document copies ready for verification. 6) Section-C: Once you are done with the verification, keep all the original documents of the copies you have provided along with the Appointment letter before you are called for at 7) Section-C: Your copies of documents will be cross examined against your original documents. 8) Section-C5: Your old passport will be sealed canceled and punched. (This section applies only in case of re-issue). Before appointment: Make sure all the documents you are planning to provide has matching details without mistakes. Bring all the original documents along with photocopies (signed and attested). Bring only the full size aadhar card (not the debit card sized ones). When taking copies, if it's card sized, print it out in enlarged or zoomed format. I received the passport on 11/02/2026, within 24hours of the process. The police verification will be eventually done but the passport is issued ASAP in case of tatkal re-issue.

Plan to arrive 30mins ahead of your appointment time, if you are taking a print out of digitally signed certificates ensure that the signature is validated in the file before you take a print out. Otherwise they will ask you to take a new one with this validation last minute. For example marriage certificate or birth certificate which are downloaded from govt portals. Literally no parking space is available even for a cycle or bikes. So either you come in public transport or taxi. Processing time for renewal application is quite fast within 20mins you can come out.

Today I had taken my differently abled brother for renewal of his passport. From the time I entered the premises, we were given all support and processing was done quickly. We were able to finish everything in 30 mins time. Kudos to the team managing the centre. Super efficient!! Thanks

Passport service centre. Indian government passport application process center. Getting appointments need atlest 15 days waiting. Not suitable for very urgent. Road side shed for visitors waiting.

My Tatkal Passport (Address Change) Experience - PSK Coimbatore I applied for a Tatkal passport re-issue with an address change. My appointment time was 11:30 AM, but I arrived at the PSK Coimbatore office at 10:00 AM. 1. Document Verification by TCS Staff The TCS officer first verified my passport application receipt along with the Tatkal undertaking form. They also requested the following documents: Aadhaar card PAN card Bank passbook Old passport After initial verification, I was asked to take a printout of my e-Aadhaar and black-and-white photocopies of all the documents. Colour photocopies are not accepted. All required printing and photocopy services are available inside the PSK premises. 2. Token Process and Counters After preparing the documents, I received my token number. I completed the entire counter process by 11:30 AM: Counter A: Biometric verification Counter B: Document verification Granting Section: Final approval 3. Completion After all verifications were completed, my old passport was cancelled. I then received the acknowledgement on my registered email, after which I exited the passport office. The TCS staff and officers were very professional and supportive throughout the process. I recommend that applicants follow the official procedure and ensure all documents meet the guidelines provided on the Passport India website. I am now awaiting the next steps.
