RS Puram Head Post Office

Coimbatore head Post office - Highly mismanaged and an example for inefficient government office. The token system is dead slow. E-aadhar is super slow, addition of one or two staff can save hundreds of hours of general public who wastes whole day standing there for a small work. For some reasons most if the Eseva centres outside don't support Aadhar works. The PO staff also complains to customers that there isn't enough workers. Simple and usual answer is come back tomorrow. The savings, parcel or other services takes many hours too. The token display malfunction and the staff yell at poor and uneducated elderly citizens if they miss the slot. Comparing many states in India or many districts in TN, coimbatore head Post office have to undergo a dractic advancement. Without efficiency there isn't anything the government can achieve. Only positive thing is the staff are polite (mostly) and place is clean.

Visited this post office for Aadhar biometric updates and to apply a new one for my 2 year old. Visited around 5 PM and collected tokens. Waited almost for an hour and there was absolutely no proper response by the person (Jeeva) responsible. He was constantly on his own phone call and was very rude. Very pathetic experience

My first time here after 10 years in Canada. The token system is ok , but service for aadhar could be a bit faster .

Today's experience with the post office was beyond frustrating it was insulting. Due to their own server failure, parcels piled up and operations were in chaos. And instead of owning the issue, the staff (a senior staff )had the audacity to ask us, the customers, to split our parcels and submit them across different branches in Coimbatore. Let's get one thing straight this backlog happened because of your system crash, not because of us. Why should we waste our time, fuel, and energy running around the city cleaning up a mess you created? And on top of it all, the way we were treated was disgraceful. The staff spoke rudely, lacked basic manners, and acted like they were doing us a favour. No apology, no respect just pure arrogance. Is this what public service looks like? Because today, it felt more like we were being punished for expecting a basic service to function properly. We are not here to do your job. We are not here to be treated like garbage. Fix your systems. Fix your staff's attitude. And stop dumping your failures on the public.

Head post office. Quick service on postal but Aadhaar. Look at the second photo they are searching for internet outside the building with wire and a dongle

Extremely unprofessional experience at the RS Puram Post Office today by a senior staff wearing spectacle We reached at 3 PM with parcels that had piled up only because the post office staff had been turning us away for the past week due to a software update, constantly telling us to "come tomorrow." This delay was entirely on their end. At RS Puram, instead of acknowledging this, a senior staff member (wearing spectacles) was rude, disrespectful, and openly scolded us for bringing "too many parcels." He claimed they wouldn't accept more than five a rule that is neither displayed nor communicated anywhere. He then made us wait until 7 PM, while intentionally allowing others behind us in the queue to go ahead. It was clear he was taking out his frustration with the new system on customers. Such behavior is completely unacceptable. If internal issues cause service delays, customers should not be harassed or humiliated for it

I went here to apply for first-time Aadhar card - a nonresident one. I have lived outside India half my life and still do. I became tired of carrying my passport everywhere. So, it was time to get the nonresident card so I can carry that for ID instead of the passport. Anyway, given this context, I was totally and pleasantly surprised the quality of service here. Coimbatore is not that major a city, which is why I found this even more surprising. The gentleman who attended to me application was extremely respectful (not just to me, but to everyone else there) and courteous, and answered all questions patiently. This is western level quality of service (at least former western - I am not so sure now). I must say that there are instances in the US and Canada where I have experienced poorer service than this. Everything went smoothly and the gentleman even answered my unnecessary questions that was posed merely out of curiosity about procedure. I will also note that the other staff there were also equally courteous and professional. I have heard stories of India rising. This was the first time I witnessed it in person. If I had not seen it, I would not have believed it. Keep up the great work folks. This level of service should make Indians proud.
