Perur Post Office

I used the Aadhaar enrolment service at this post office centre for my child in May 2025, and the experience has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. Although the centre officially opens only after 10:30 a.m., we are expected to stand in a queue much earlier to get tokens. On several days, even after waiting, the Aadhaar counter simply did not function - we were told the staff member was on leave, on duty elsewhere, or that "the server is down". I had to visit the centre five separate times just to find out whether they were working and to secure a queue number. When we finally got a token in May, our number was only called in the afternoon. During the enrolment, the lady officer in charge became visibly impatient because my young son's fingerprints could not be captured properly. As he is a small child and doesn't understand instructions clearly, he kept moving his fingers or not pressing hard enough. Instead of calmly helping, she got frustrated and finally said it was "okay" to proceed without all fingerprints, then printed the acknowledgement with incomplete biometrics. She told me it was normal and asked me to wait a few months for the Aadhaar to be generated. After waiting six months, in November I checked the status and found that my son's Aadhaar had been rejected due to incomplete fingerprints. This means I now have to repeat the entire process again - more visits, more queues, and another long wait of several months - all because proper care was not taken during the first enrolment. Overall, my experience has been extremely poor: Unreliable opening and token system Multiple wasted visits just to check if services are running Long waiting times even with a token Irritable staff and careless handling of a child's biometric data I hope the authorities seriously review the functioning of this centre, improve staff behaviour and training, and put in place a proper system so that families, especially with young children, are not made to suffer like this again..

Staffs are with smile face welcoming and helping for each person who is coming to the post office with kindly manners and helping tendency
