Sorry we parents sr.citizens have sit on the road side foot path bus shelter while we come with our elders parents age old parents sons daughters for visa interview..also security must have patience to talk with us..proper induction programe for them..also lockers must be provided by them to keep our phones bags...finger prints submission of docuements..pl the concerned authority has to give seating chairs drinking water wheel chairs inside the office space..its too hot outside the on the roadside foot path bus shelters....also the lady women who interviwed me...didnt give me an space to talk with them y..i being a sr.citizens..retired person..being a farmer community they usa visa interview women lady refused to talk with me y to answer to their question y..being retired person..a farmer costs me to reach them spent 76000.00 for my travel hotel food visa fees..agent commision...pl i request to refund my usa visa interviw fees charges expenses of 18500.00..to me immedtly..am retired person..its difficult problems for me at these age to earn pie..i request the concerened authority to refund pay my due amount immedtly...R pl give me one more interview without any charges fees for my coming interview...

I am a 4th generation indian, with all my family friends and well wishers in India. Tax paying , law abiding with no challans. I vowed never to leave my country and my brethren and serve them till my last breath. I am practising doctor at my clinic and hospitals visiting overseas only to gain knowledge for a few weeks to months and then to come back and serve my people. I've never wanted to settle overseas and make a livelihood as I believe in staying with my family and serving them. Thats why I completed my undergraduate and post graduation in India only that too close to my house. Coming to the point.....my US visa...or in other words it's denial I was selected from a group of elite surgical oncologists of the country at the IASO NATCON 2025 and sponsored to present my research in US at the SSO 2026. the organisation sent me an invitation to facilitate my visa process along with all the necessary documents. I was keen to visit the US along with my family (wife and 1 yr old kid) as I wanted them to be part of my sucess. We travelled togather to Chennai for our biometric and subsequently the next week again to Chennai for our consulate interview. Although our biometric was sucessful, we were denied our visa citing I DID NOT SHOW ANY TIES TO MY NATIVE COUNTRY AND FAILED TO PROVE THAT I WOULD COME BACK HOME (LOL) although depressed and devastated by this response of the VISA OFFICER who played god and decided my fate as per his wishes, i silently turned back and returned home to perhaps never to go US again. The US doesn't deserve our talent our research or our presence. Mera bharat mahan.

I went there for business visa. Interview was quick but wait time was bit high. No hassles. I came prepared by not having any electronics or even remote key for my car. There seems to be a locker nearby, but I didn't had the need to use it. But when I went for interview, I got surrounded by few auto drivers asking for locker service etc. looks like all the bad experiences due to locker service seems to be true. please be careful and don't get into last min issues. Note that there is no parking nearby. I came by scooty and parked in the nearby bank.

Went here for my visa. The queue was organized neatly, applicants were intimated ahead of their appointment time by the security personnel. Hassel free visit. Just took 5 mins. But while coming out of this consulate, the auto drivers surround me and asking for money as I got visa. That was a bad experience for me.

Recommending to arrange storage facility for long travel applicants. The Auto drivers are looting people 2000rs for just 20mns of storing a single bag. Police department should take care of this atrocities... Recommending to keep your belongings at the hotel rooms just bring the papers required or bring someone from home for you.

Ok GUYS HEAR ME OUT! You can't take the cellphones , or bags inside! even your wallets and watches needs to be kept inside the doc folder that you carry ! So PLEASE PLAN!! You don't have to give your valuables to random shop or auto drivers ! Here is what I would do ! If you book an auto or ola or uber or rapido tell them to take you to the aprion locker (search in google ) if they don't know where it's , you select the drop point as the park hotel , and it's on the left building to park hotel ! You can keep your mobiles for a price and the bags are free! Once done, come out and cross the signal and take the subway to cross the road and voila you have entered the us embassy entrance ! Hope you have a great visit ! H1 - have docs like 797 , employment letter , client letter - worst case LCA, w2 , pay stubs H4 - marriage cert + h1 docs

B1/B2 VISA INTERVIEW @ US CONSULATE, CHENNAI. This review is based solely on my experience for the first time B1/B2 Visa interview at Chennai centre. And is not applicable for renewal or any other categories of Visa. Our interview was in the last week of Jan 2024, though we had applied for it way back in July 2022! LOCATION : Anna Salai, opp: Gemini flyover, Chennai. NO SIGN BOARD INDICATING IT'S US CONSULATE, at the entry gate! SECURITY ASPECTS: VERY STRICT NO MOBILE PHONES- NO SMART WATCHES - NO ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES ETC ALLOWED. Even Car keys are not allowed! Make your own arrangements for keeping it outside ( Auto drivers will demand cut throat rates); better bring some of your friends/relatives with you or keep your items in your room itself. NO LOCKER FACILITY IS PROVIDED. VEHICLE PARKING IS VERY VERY DIFFICULT. Small bags, backpacks etc are allowed inside.( Of course, after screening) But no water bottles. Baby food permitted. Drinking water / wash room facilities available inside. Our time slot was 10.30 am but we were permitted entry @ 9.45 itself. A long Q will be outside. Don't worry. If u show your appointment letter at your time, u will be entered. Inside, entry is permitted batch wise. Well seating arrangement and u can sit comfortably till your turn. There are around 20 counters for the interview. Different Qs are there for different languages. If required , Language interpreter for Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam available. On our turn, one American Consulate officer interviewed us. (Self & wife) He asked a few questions like The purpose of our visit, duration of our stay, place of stay, the occupation of our host/relative, how we manage the expenses, our job or source of income in India, details of our house/ landed properties, details of our children, our ties with native place etc. He then took our right hand finger prints. Though I have taken all the supporting documents like Bank account stmnt, ownership certificate etc they didn't ask any such things! (but be ready with all sorts of such supporting documents). In brief, the only thing they wanted to ensure is we won't try to settle there using this visitor visa and will return to India. The interview was cordial and from there itself the Officer informed us that our Visa is approved ( validity 10 years) and we can collect it within 7 days. The interview lasted for about 5 minutes and the whole process (from entry to exit) took some 40 minutes. They kept our Passports there. (No acknowledgement or confirmation mail is given) Since we are from Palakkad, Kerala we had opted for the courier service for delivery of visas. The "great" Blue dart courier - the only authorised shipping partner of US consulate, Chennai - delivered the Visas at our relative's address in Cochin, fleecing Rs.850 for each Visas! In Kerala, Cochin is the only authorised Blue dart courier office that delivers visa service., so I think. Our experience at VAC, Nungambakkam, Chennai (the previous day) for the biometrics etc are different. That review is given separately.

Worst service There is no locker facility for mobiles and laptops. I had to pay 4,000 to keep 2 mobiles outside the embassy office with unknown person and my mobile was safe. If We are traveling from one location to another for the visa process, but there is no proper facility. If someone travels 2,000 km, it is very difficult to manage travel without a mobile phone. This was my first visit to Chennai, bad experience and even the Ola driver charged extra money. check other states to make the process more convenient. Also check google rating before interview
