I had a very disappointing experience at VFS Global Jalandhar. The staff gives clear priority only to customers who have booked premium services. Normal applicants are ignored, made to wait unnecessarily, and not treated respectfully. The behavior of the staff was unprofessional and unfair. In the front office, I was asked to pay 450 via Google Pay, but no proper explanation was given for this charge. I do not understand why this amount was demanded, and it made me very uncomfortable. Such practices raise serious concerns about transparency and ethics. VFS Global is supposed to provide equal and fair service to all applicants, not only to those who pay extra. Overall, the service was very bad, poorly managed, and disappointing. I hope the management takes strict action and improves staff behavior and service quality. I had a appointment for italy visa

Visited vfs global today to submit biometrics for my canada visa. Every thing was smooth, speedy and without any problem and job was done in 15-20 minutes in my allotted slot. Just be sure to keep your papers complete and updated. Touts & agents try to fleece you outside the main gate only as they have no role & are not allowed inside. Clearly say you do not need their services. Inside office they will politely ask you if you need premium services (need payment). Say no- you will use only standard basic services (no difference). Reach atleast 45 min before your appointment time.

I visited VFS Jalandhar on 26 November 2025 for my PRTD application appointment at 9:00 AM and reached the centre by 8:45 AM. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing due to multiple misleading practices. Outside the building, you will encounter people pretending to be VFS staff, trying to "help" with form filling. One of them tried to sell me a paid service just to fill the VFS consent form -- which I already knew wasn't required. Many people who are unaware could easily fall for this. Next, they called us to line up on the ground floor according to the appointment time. After that, we were sent to the first floor, where the actual VFS office is located. Inside the official centre, the VFS staff member aggressively tried to upsell their Premium Lounge service, claiming it would help process my passport faster. This is misleading, because the VFS website clearly states that the premium service does not speed up application processing. It was obvious she was trying to sell it because she knew I didn't need any assistance with forms. I declined the offer and continued with the regular line -- which is perfectly adequate if you don't need help filling forms. Once I got my token and went to the document submission counter, I asked the VFS official processing my request whether premium service actually speeds up processing. She confirmed it does not. I'm honestly surprised and disappointed by how customers are pressured into buying unnecessary services through incorrect information. Many people, especially first-time applicants, could easily be misled. I intend to file a complaint with VFS so they can take strict action against this behaviour. For reference, I was allowed into the first floor between 9:10-9:20 AM on November 26, 2025.

I gave 2 star because my father and mother in law went for the biometric on 23rd December, today, the lady at the reception was very rude tried to sell them priority/standard service for biometric which is not at all necessary as we have already filled the consent form and have their signature. So our parents got confused and anxious, the only good thing is they called us instantly and when we tried to clarify that for what they are asking charges as biometric fees are already paid, someone from behind said no need to pay, you can go ahead, and the process was done quickly after that. That's the only good part. So just be aware of paying extra. Hope they will improve their service and be honest with elderly people and treat them with dignity. Really disappointing.

This VFS Global Services center is nothing but a money-making scam. They are openly exploiting people with their pathetic, greedy policies. If you book an appointment here, be ready for their extortion tactics: 5 minutes late? Pay 4,500. Missing one document? Pay 4,500. Need help filling a form? Pay 4,500. Only have a digital copy of a document? Pay 4,500. My parents had a passport submission appointment at 9:15 AM and reached at 9:20 AM. The place was EMPTY -- no crowd, no line, nothing. At the counter, the staff asked for a printed approval letter. Since my parents didn't have a printout, they told them to go outside and get it printed. They returned within 10 minutes, but the staff suddenly changed the story and said their appointment was cancelled -- unless they paid 4,500 to submit the passport. If the appointment was going to be cancelled anyway, why send them to print the document? The answer is simple: they wanted the excuse to force the 4,500 payment. This is pure harassment and a shameless way of squeezing money from innocent people. If these so-called "rules" actually exist, they should be clearly mentioned in the confirmation email instead of being used to trap visitors.

SCAM And MISGUIDING InFo: Pros: 1. This place is well maintained in terms of cleanliness. 2. Adequate sitting arrangements 3. Sufficient staff and services 4. Security presence Cons: 1. Security does not pay attention to remove people at the entrance asking for money to fill the consent forms. Innocent parents or first time visitors unaware of this scam and end up paying. 2. Upon entrance, rude receptionist and other managing staff ask for 4500 and above rupees for premium lounge service and misguiding innocent people that if not paid, it will affect processing time of the services (biometrics, passport submission and receiving etc). 3. When checked with vfs website customer care chat person stated with opposite statement: Yes, there is premium lounge service present but it won't affect the status of your application and services provided. My suggestion to public: Do not go for premium service. VFs has placed a big banner or notice inside the facility that there is no guarantee for the application processing time whether it is standard or premium. Humble request to the director of vfs to look into this issue of misleading information at the ground level. Staff has to determine if public want to pay extra money for premium service or not, at the end it won't affect their application in any way. For vfs safe side, staff just print out a receipt and hand over to the person paid.

Very poor experience. am extremely disappointed with VFS Global. During my parents recent visit to the VFS centre in Jalandhar they were pressured to pay for the Premium Lounge, even though they clearly requested the normal standard service.But eventually my parents refused but had to return back and book for another appointment. Staff made it sound like the standard service was not available or would take very long, leaving them no real choice. This is unethical, manipulative, and feels like a scam, especially because premium services are supposed to be optional. VFS Global is taking advantage of applicants by forcing unnecessary paid services. Many people are reporting the same experience, and it needs to stop. I hope VFS Global takes action to fix this, because the current system is extremely unfair and unprofessional.

This is totally a scam to misguide the innocent people. The innocent people who visit inside for their biometrics service are get harrassed emotionally in this way due to lack of knowledge.
