US Visa Biometrics Centre and passport collection

Sharing this for anyone feeling anxious before their OFC appointment like I was. At the building entrance, security asked for my appointment confirmation printout and gave me a token. I went up to the first floor where there was a security check for electronics (phones, smartwatches, etc.). I had none, so it took just a few seconds. Inside, they asked for my DS-160 confirmation page and passport. I was then directed to the biometrics queue, and within about a minute it was my turn. They took fingerprints and a photo, which took about 2 minutes, and I was done. Total time inside: roughly 5 minutes. Very smooth and organised.

INSTRUCTIONS 1 Just reach the location 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment, because there's no place to sit infront of the building. (Very hot weather and dusty sidewalk) 2 carry your water bottle if you're coming early because the street sellers are selling it for 30/ltr. 3 The VFS staffs will announce the slot timings in megaphone for you to head inside. (Keep an eye on the time slot board in the entrance) When they call you, they'll check your appointment confirmation and issue you with a token. 4 Take stairs and head to the first floor where you will stand in a queue. 5 Give your token to the security personnel and complete the security check. 6 head to the free counter and submit your passport, appointment confirmation and DS 160 confirmation. 7 they'll cross verify your information and they'll sticker it In the back for post visa process. 8 head to the line for photo counter. Head to the counter number indicated by the staffs. 9 submit your documents, they'll cross verify it. 10 They'll click a photo and collect your finger prints. 11 Your ds 160 will be stamped, collect the documents and head to the exit.

Only for biometrics, dropbox and passport collection, nothing else happens here. If you're coming for biometrics, they don't allow phones or bags inside, but there are small lockers right there (super helpful). For dropbox or collecting passport you can just walk in with your phone, no problem. Parking isn't at the center itself but the municipal corporation parking is just outside the gate. You have to climb one floor (not sure if an elevator is available for people in need). The place is pretty small and gets over quickly, so don't expect a big fancy VFS, just come, finish your work and leave. They do not have sufficient place for people to besested either inside or outside. Works fine if you know what to expect!

One of the worst experience ever. Absolutely exploiting the Monopoly. They charged Rs 500 for a single page of Printout!!! The security staff is very rude as well. I really hope the Government or any other official body intervenes to rectify this

Sharing this short review to help make the visit to this U.S. Visa Facilitation Centre a little smoother, reading others' experiences helped me plan mine. * Try to reach about 15 minutes before your appointment. Security only lets people in at their exact time slot, so if you're early, you'll end up waiting outside on the road. * There's paid parking close by. It's convenient, and from there it's just a short walk to the centre. * You only need three things: your appointment confirmation, DS-160 form, and your current passport. * Avoid carrying electronics such as phones, smartwatches, or anything digital, as these aren't allowed inside. If you do bring them, you'll need to use a locker, which costs around 500. * The process is simple: after a quick security check at the entry on the 1st floor, there's a fast DS-160 verification, followed by biometrics and a photograph. If everything goes smoothly, you can be done within 30 minutes. The U.S. Embassy is also a short walk away if your interview is scheduled for the same day.

Experience was very good at the councellate, it was fast and quick. However, the other services inside the councellate is very very expensive. They change Rs 500 for 1 page print . Rs 500 for locker service.

Important Note: Mobile phones and bags are not allowed inside. Please make sure this is taken care of before you reach the place. You may find some locals offering to keep your belongings, but it can be risky in an unfamiliar area, so it's better to plan accordingly.

so i went there for my minor 7 year old child's "biometrics".the people/security outside says that you need to get a foto of the child according to the rules..mind you nothing about this is mentioned on the website...so the people outside says that photograph is mandatory..they didnt give me any option..i did as suggested...4 photos for 500 ..thats also ok..if it was necessary..but after going inside they took a live photo and said this was not necessary..imagine there is no coorination ,noone knows the rules..they jus wanna extract stupid 500 rupees for everything lockers and photos...i feel there should be some decorum..some capping and some honesty in the way they work...i hope people in d right placed see this review and understand and change.
