They should allow parking in the premises. It's been many years this issue people are facing. Its need to be sorted out.Also u cannot park outside as its a no parking zone but occupied by the vegetable vendors illegally. No issues regarding passport service.

Went for reissue of Passport. I'm so glad finally a government office which is so systematic, no going to 10 different counters. Very well managed. If you have all the documents and your digilocker is linked with aadhar I'm sure your work will be done in an hour. Documents required : Carry all below original as well. 1. Application Receipt 2. Old passport copy 3. Aadhar copy (full original aadhar) 4. Digilocker linked with Aadhar Since my address was same as before that's why only only these 3 was sufficient. P.S. There is a xerox guy inside if you forgot anything. Pro Tip: Upload your documents through Digilocker in Passport Seva website. This helped me because they didn't even check my originals. I had also linked my 10th Marksheet just for the safe side to avoid the Non-ECR Document. I received my passport within 5 days. I'm amazed. Now Police Verification in 2 weeks as per last message.

Passport Seva Kendra Malad- Detailed Experience Review Appointment & Arrival My reporting time was 9:15 AM and appointment time 9:30 AM. I reached the location around 8:30 AM, which helped a lot since there were only two people ahead of me. --- Location & Accessibility The centre is located in a busy market area with street vendors and vegetable sellers near the entrance, so the surroundings feel crowded. However, accessibility is good and the location is not far from the Western Express Highway. --- Parking Parking is available for passport applicants in the basement of an adjacent building. I was able to park my car easily, probably because I arrived early. Security guards near the parking area are helpful, though they do tend to ask for tips (I ended up giving 20 each). Capacity for parking is unclear, so early arrival is advisable. --- Process & Timeline The overall process is systematic but involves multiple steps: 1. Entry & Photocopy Counter Since I arrived early, I was allowed inside earlier than my reporting time. The first step was a photocopy counter where I had to buy a 4 Tatkal undertaking form. 2. Token Counter Documents and originals were checked, and a token was issued. 3. Counter A Documents were scanned and uploaded, and the photograph was taken. Once uploaded, documents become accessible across Counters A, B, and C. Staff here (likely privately recruited) were professional and polite. 4. Waiting Area - Counter B After Counter A, applicants wait until their token appears on the screen. Counter B mainly verifies originals; in my case, very little interaction happened. The govt employee should have checked my originals. He just let me go to Counter C where queries were raised 5. Counter C (Final Approval) This is the final approval stage handled by a gazetted officer. --- Staff Experience Counter A staff were professional and courteous. Staff at Counters B and C (government employees) were noticeably less polite and less helpful. Interaction felt rigid and somewhat dismissive. One important observation: despite alternative documents being listed on the passport website, acceptance seemed to depend heavily on officer discretion. In my case: I had a registered rent agreement as address proof. The officer demanded a bank passbook as photo ID, which I had not carried. My company photo ID (from a public listed company), although listed as acceptable online, was rejected. Digilocker documents were also not accepted despite broader government policy supporting them and paperless bharat. This makes the experience feel unpredictable and somewhat dependent on individual officers. --- Overall Experience The process was quick -- I finished and exited by around 9:45 AM, which is impressive timing. I had carried a bundle of ALL the required document copies. On A counter, onyl few were taken from those. Then when I attended for my second appointment a month later with same documents, the staff kept sending me back to A counter from B and C counters due to THEIR negligence. As a results it was very time consuming, almost 2 hours. Suggestion: Please ask for all required documents at once and A counter to take responsibility to check all details thoroughly to avoid this to and fro. 3 stars are for the ones who were very patient and spoke nicely with everyone.

The service at the passport office was extremely disappointing. The staff was rude and unhelpful, showing little patience or willingness to assist, especially toward senior citizens. My mom (60 yrs old) completed everything nicely and on the last desk, that man behaved very rudely and talked in a very bad manner as if she is a roadside beggar. He was unwilling to listen to concerns, and his behaviour was highly unprofessional and unacceptable for a government office. Very very disappointed. To he precise a man sitting on C5 gave all rude answers to even basic questions! If you are a government official nobody gives you the right to talk to anybody like that! It was renewal passport and still they behaved very very bad! Highly and utterly disappointed. Highly recommend to go to other offices instead but never ever go to Malad office for passport.

I visited the Malad Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) on 27 January 2026 for passport renewal, and the overall experience was excellent. The entire process was completed efficiently within approximately 20 minutes. All staff members were courteous and professional, starting from the security personnel who verified the appointment receipt to the passport-granting officer. The PSK is located in Malad East and is easily accessible. For those arriving by train, it is advisable to exit Malad railway station using the staircase towards the Borivali end. Auto-rickshaws are readily available outside the station, and the PSK is a short 5-7 minute ride away at the minimum meter fare. Upon entry, the security staff verified the appointment receipt and guided applicants inside. Senior citizens have a dedicated counter where documents are verified and a token is issued. Token prefixes are clearly categorized: "S" for Senior Citizens, "T" for Tatkal, and "N" for regular applications. Applicants then proceed to Counter A for photograph capture, fingerprinting, and signature. At this stage, the application details and a preview of the passport are displayed on screen for verification, allowing applicants to confirm the accuracy of the information. This is followed by Counter B, where the existing passport is verified. Finally, at Counter C, the passport-granting officer addresses any queries and approves the application. Confirmation messages are sent to the registered mobile number and email address. Passports are processed either under pre-police verification or post-police verification, as applicable. Both the TCS staff and the passport officials were helpful and efficient throughout the process. Overall, it was a smooth and well-managed experience. My compliments to the Ministry of External Affairs for maintaining such high service standards.

It's 10 minutes far from Malad railway station It is situated in west Autorickshaws are available They take money according to their metter You have to show your recept print for entering here at the game Than according to your time slot you have to wait 10 min prior they send you in You have to go to token counter They're your all the documents will be arranged And the extra document they gave it back They give your number Then you have to go in at A for verification The person there makes you check everything on the screen Takes your photograph Takes your finger impression Tells you to see if everything is proper and take your sign Then they send you to the counter B + C In that hall there are sitting arrangements made and a big screen on which your token number will be visible According to that you have to go to the counter which is allotted to you Don't forget to take link your Aadhaar card with digilocker this will make your work very easy and very fast Once you are checked from the B counter Again you have to wait in the waiting area till your number is shown again on the big screen There you have to verify your original documents And then your work is done Hope this helps
