"The post office has an entirely female staff, but they often linger and seem uninterested in their work.

Town hall, sub post it's Indian post service department. It is only ladies post office related and his staff only ladies work here. Hence it's different office in Fort area. And these office area cool and fresh .hence people always be happy towords these office. Hope you watch to like it.

The marriage registrar's office is also here on the ground floor. It's open from 11am to 5pm. There is a small restaurant nearby. There are people who are authorized to do notary. They generally sit under a tree next to restaurant/canteen. Also the office of joint district registrar's office is here. See the photos.

Government offices for getting info about PR cards and maps of your property. Small canteen is also provided inside this building for public. Rates of food is reasonable. BEST buses and taxis are also in good frequency. 15mins walking distance from CST station.

Sandwiched between Asiatic library and custom house. Easily not visible. Serves the purpose for offices in the vicinity. But the bright red colour of the structure attracts the attention of the passersby. Importantly it's a all Women post office.

Unprofessional and Lethargic Behavioural Staff. Maybe changing the staff may bring some positive and prompt service to customers. This is purely based on experience gained during multiple interactions.

Less complicated, spacious building. Ground floor has Marriage Registrar office for Fort-Sion jurisdiction and Churchgate-Mahim Jurisdiction couple (Any one of them). Good, supportive staff. Do not fall for agents, as all procedures are simpler. You need to carry photo, Adhar card, passport/birth certificate/SSC marksheet/Driving licence/school leaving certificate/electricity Bill as supporting docs, you can get a form from the staff inside marriage registrar office. Form need to fill with Black ink, every details in capital. Staff will accept the form with INR 50/- along with the docs to be attested (Adhar card and any age related proof docs) and take the copy of form and receipt staff provides. Once you provide them xerox of receipt and whole form they will provide you marriage date. Date is after 30 days from application submission. Do not pay any single penny to these agents cum thief. As marriage certificate gets issued on the same day of marriage by marriage registrar.
