The process is smooth if you have all the required documents and properly filled DS-160 form. There is a computer service centre which charges Rs. 3000/- for editing your DS-160 form. So fill your form properly before visiting VAC Mumbai.

Very Swift and fast process for biometric.Just u need to carry required documents as listed. (DS 160 confirmation page and Appointment confirmation) and current original passport.Make sure to carry clear xerox as here its 500rs for 1copy.Arrive 30min before your scheduled time.No shelter area nearby,Carry caps or umbrella and a bottle of water. Mobile phones are not allowed inside VAC, Locker is provided and its for 500rs again even for 5min. Inside VAC process takes max 15min and ur out.

The entire process was fast and easy however there is no place for visitors to stand or rest . The have to stand on the opposite road with no basic necessities. Come to the place with no more than 30 mins from your appointment. Its beneficial to have someone with u to hold ur mobile or bags otherwise they charge u 500 for the locker even though it's for 5 mins. U have auto drivers just outside ready to keep ur stuff for 100-200. But that's a risk for u to decide and take. I saw some people making use of them. Easy access to and from Kurla station. Paid parking on street or park your vehicle near the US consulate but it's a little bit far. U can check on the map

Smooth experience. However affordable xerox, print options should be made available in the campus. Don't forget to bring both old and new DS 160 forms with barcodes along with passport without fail or else u will waste time in stress. For children bring photos.

The VAC office in itself is well managed and efficient. Process was quick and easy; staff were polite and helpful. KEY Pointers : 1) Carry your DS-160, Passport and Appointment Confirmation Page with you for your VAC. - DS-160 expires in a year; if that's the case fill out a new DS-160 and carry both (no need of a new payment or appointment, the old one is sufficient) - If you've got a new passport, fill out a new DS-160 and carry both DS-160s and passports for the appointment. 2) Bags and mobiles are NOT allowed in the visa office; however an ancillary company has been given permission to run a Xerox Shop cum Locker service right next door. 3) BEWARE : Charges by this ancillary company by the name 'NEXT DESTINATION INDIA PVT LTD' is ABSURD and SCAMMING. - DS-160 assistance : 3000/head, Locker : 500/head, Photo : 1000/head etc And ALL these to be paid ONLY IN CASH!? Countless unsuspecting victims especially the elderly are falling prey to this scam. Who has even authorised this company to conduct such business? Does the US Consulate even know?

Well managed for the service they provide . It opens on time and process is smooth and fast. However there is no proper waiting area , one has to wait outside the campus on the other side of the road on footpath until appointment time. Baggage hold counter is available on demand at a charge of 500/- which is not a closed area. The staff keeps announcing and calling applicants on time. Commute to this place is ok as in cities. Local auto drivers are available , however price is hyped.

Service is very good. Biometric process completed within 5 mins. If you are going for biometric then go with someone because nothing is allowed inside the building except your Passport, appointment letter and DS-160. Mobile phones also not allowed. Locker facility not available near buildings. You have to take autorickshaw to go there and it will cost you around 300 approx. So better go with your friends or parents. You have to park your vehicle on road at your own risk.

Near the exit there is scam centre (xerox centre) pls avoid going there, instead of go down near security they will guide you properly. Don't panic this is just a biometric attendance. Take your own time, get your application renewal done outside for 200 instead of 3000
