Indian Bureau of Immigration at CSI Airport

The Foreigner's counter are too few and the immigration officers are painfully slow, ull mannered. Is that the first impression you want to give to people visiting India?

Most unpolite peoples in all India, specially the one sitting at airport. They dont know the word Please or ThankYoy, very aggressive. A lot of time they even close the counter in your face after you queuing for hour. Supposed to be the welcoming to India, is everything but not welcoming at all. Does it make sense to travel to India?

Very rude immigration people, no flexibility even for kids. Because of flight delays my 12 year old daughter's visa was expired 1-2 days back and these rude officers humiliated us and forced us to pay $160 in cash. They threatened us that they will hold my daughter and will not her leave the country without it even if she is just a 12 year old kid. No empathy or humanity left in these government employees. Everything becomes a fault of passengers even if airlines delayed flights. Never going to board a flight from Mumbai. Corruption is on peak here. Be very careful and avoid transits from here specially if you are from other states of India or a foreigner.

The immigration service at this airport is very poor. I had the worst experience as a tourist. I almost missed my flight because I realized late that the immigration officer did not return my European residence permit. When I informed the airline, they called and asked the immigration office but they did not give me any information. I had to go back on my own and look for the counter where I presented my documents. The official had left the counter and left my residence permit on his desk without telling anyone, even though he clearly knew the importance of these documents.

Immigration officer very rude and arrogant ! On 6th Dec 2021 @ 00.15 Hrs. I was at Counter 33. He refused to view the digital document and demanded hard copy on paper. When I told him that I am regular traveler and usually no one asks for a hard copy. All accepted the digital one. He shouted at me and said that we traveler are over smart and have bad habits of arguing. However, after a while he accepted the digital copy and stamped my passport. I would like to ask the Immigration Bureau that, are they not aware that our PM is taking us to Digital India. When they will be sane to realize the developments. Those officers probably from quota are nuisance. Please appoint deserving candidates and train those to behave.

I recently flew in from Singapore and had a pleasant surprise. Immigration area was large with more than 50 counters, You were being directed by staff to empty counters.Immigration officer was polite and courteous. A world of change after my last trip of July 2014. I can rate Mumbai Immigration among the best in world. Salute to officers. Jai Hind!

Very rude & poor response from the staff at all level. It was of US Deportation & after so much of unnecessary introgation by US Cross Border Security. When come to India, too much of queries even-though Indian Citizens. It's ridiculous & sense-less....need solid improvement there....see US Imigration Dept & compare with our dept. It's really a bad experience.

Need to modernise Immigration facilities like GCC and other develop countries. Still there is no such facilities available to frequent fliers such as using UID or Civil Card... why these bloody politicians pass an act to make civil ID compulsory An Unique ID in India... just because they have biggest threat of being caught.
