I have never been more impressed by the service rendered by a govt office. There is a staff here at the packing department named Mr. Naaz, who is nothing short of exemplary at what he does. Watching him pack a parcel is witnessing a work of art. His attention to detail and the way he attends to every customer deserves special mention. I would say that he is single handedly restoring the faith in the service rendered by central govt departments in the city!

Located at Pulimood Junction, this Post Office acts as one of the pioneer place of the postal services of Government of India. The staff are exceptionally professional and friendly which made me wonder whether it's a Government office. The charges are reasonable and the services are speedy. There might be a bit of waiting time to bill your goods but not too much. Only drawback is that they accept payments only in the form of cash. UPI is a big NO!

I went there to submit digital life certificate. It was a quick affair. Took only 3-5 minutes. Three of us friends went and completed the process in about 20 minutes. Then seeing the struggle for finger print detection during this process, thought of updating the Aadhaar biometrics. Gave the application there itself and that process took a bit more time, because finger prints had to be updated first, 3 steps, four fingers each of right and left hand and then thumbs of both hands. Then Iris scan. Then updated photo. Rs 125 was the fee charged for the updatement. My friend told that this is better than the interaction at Akshaya center. Now coming to minus points. THE STAIRS! Most of the people I observed using the GPO are sixty plus (during the one hour I was there, almost 90 percent). With creaking joints, all will find it difficult to climb steps. The second is ACUTE lack of parking space. I wrote this review because many people do not know (including from my own organisation) that Digital Life Certificate generation can be done quickly here. An update: Received the updated Aadhar card with the updated biometric described above. 27 days flat. Comparatively better. Maybe because GPO here is more efficient.

Once a place of charm and purpose, this post office now feels neglected and adrift. In our rush toward digital convenience, we seem to have lost not just letters, but the care and dignity that once came with them.

I've been in post offices all over India, and they've always been rather difficult. What an exception! This post office is efficient, clean and fast...reminds me of Japan. I love Kerala!

Nothing special. One has to climb a lot of steps to reach the counters. Physically challenged and elderly folks will find this an impossible task
