Regional Passport Office

One of the most worst place i have visited honestly . It was just the correction in POB , they made me wait . One middle aged man who sits in the 2nd floor and looks after all this correction was such an Irresponsible person . My document was moved in the mid afternoon itself but anytme i went and asked him whats the update he used to be like pls wait the office is open till 6. Later when we shouted a little and requested for an update .. the women there helped us telling its done you can leave .. I really wanted to raise a compalint on this man ... its not that i hadd to wait but it was because of him my whole day was wasted and complete energy was drained out Honestly . Such people dont deserve to be the govt sectors ... learn to be humble and kind and give proper responses.... i request govt to have a look at this cases where people are not responded properly

The service is too low. Staff will send for multiple check like bank services. Even after getting appointments the process takes long time. Note : usually they'll give appointment after 1 month so you can visit without appointment can also visit by taking walking form there itself

I visited the office for an inquiry on March 5, 2026. I arrived around 8 AM and was the 21st person in the queue outside the gate. There were no 2 wheeler parking outside the office and you have to park on footpath at your own risk By 9 AM, people with appointments were allowed to enter first, followed by those without. Inside, there was a waiting area where seating was assigned based on arrival order--first come, first seated, with the last arrival at the end. Around 9:50 AM, a staff member began distributing tokens with sequential numbers. I filled in the basic details on mine, and by 10:30 AM, security cleared the first five token holders to proceed to the inquiry section. They allowed groups of five at a time. The inquiry officer was able to resolve my issue promptly, and I completed the process by 11:20 AM. If you don't have an appointment, I recommend arriving as early as possible to wrap things up before noon

Don't go to RPO, today 15th and tmr 16th of Feb, Why can't they use maps medium to post this prior... Improve on using digitalization modes it's not 90s for government offices to stick onto old methods.

Extremely Poor Service.I had been recently there for Passport Surrender.Even though its a task of only 15 min, The executive asked me to come after 1 week, due to a lot number of application in queue due to people travelling home country for year end vacations. However,when I went after 1week, they again found something missing,and asked to come after 2 days. After 2 days, they again found something missing. Its really frustrating getting anything done in government offices hassle free.I thought Bangalore was better! I finally pulled off my application after wasting my money and precious time. Better to avoid this office, if you can manage from other center

Waiting time is more, systematic method should be fallowed. TV token system is not working, names called by the officers are not audible

Wednesday- No walk-ins enquiry. Other days - token is distributed from 9:30 to 11am morning. Post if you visit,go back home and come next day. No point to struggle talking with police member available. Thanks

I had to visit RPO Bangalore as my minor son's passport application was escalated since I am a single mother. I had taken a prior appointment, which helped avoid standing in long queues. I had done a lot of research and carried extra affidavits, but they were not required. In my case, since the father has visitation rights and provides monthly expenses, they asked for Annexure D with father's signature, a self-attested copy of his passport, and a written NOC from him. The officers were not rude, but the process was not very systematic, and I had to wait the whole day (from 9 AM to 6:30 PM). However, the staff were helpful and cooperative. I didn't have all the required documents initially, but they allowed my ex-husband to email them from abroad and waited until it was received. I received my baby's passport the next week. Despite the long wait, I appreciate the staff's support--especially one gentleman who was extremely helpful. Single mothers should ensure they carry the father's NOC, passport copy, and Annexure D to avoid delays.
