Vimanapura Post Office is located Opposite to HAL main factory gate, at the enterance of Annasandrapalya is an typical Government mentality staffs....
All the staffs at the counters are rude, never answers to our queries.
They never respect to people (senior citizen pls do go to other postofice)
Counter staffs have an constant answer 'server down'
No courtesy-No initiative for customer service
Counter staffs look for reasons to turn down customers.
Other postal staffs, post man and post woman's are better and quick in helping
Vimanapura post office don't accept cards or digital payments.
No space for car parking inside, enough place to park two wheelers.

I was really anxious after seeing all the negative reviews before going to this post office to get my parcel issue resolved, but the people I met were so helpful and kind that it completely changed my perception.
The Post Master Ms Anusuya and her team spoke fluent English, were polite and were willing to help. It was a wonderful surprise :) Maybe these bad reviews were of a different team of people and that's why sharing my experience for anyone who is hesitant to go this branch.

URGENT WARNING: AVOID
I was scammed by the staff at this post office. They are highly money-minded and seem to exploit uneducated people.
Incident Details: My mother, who is uneducated, was given only 2,000 after the staff withdrew the full 5,000. They kept the remaining 3,000.
When challenged, the staff blamed us for not checking immediately and claimed there was no proper CCTV footage to verify the cash area.
Please DO NOT use this post office. They failed to address the theft and showed zero accountability.

To
The Respected Secretary,
Department of Posts,
Government of India.
Subject: Request for Intervention - Delay and Unprofessional Behaviour in Processing Closure of Deceased's Post Office Accounts
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter with deep concern and a heavy heart regarding the experience I have had while attempting to close two post office accounts (SB and SCS) held by my late mother, who sadly passed away recently. The accounts were opened in July 2025.
I first visited the post office on 25th August 2025, intending to initiate the closure and settlement process. The staff at Counter 1 requested the passbooks for verification, after which I was directed to the Assistant Postmaster. She asked me to provide two sets of documents for each account, handed me the requisite forms (Form 11), and advised me to return the following week due to a server issue.
Accordingly, I revisited the post office on 1st September 2025 with all the required documents and forms duly filled, in two sets as instructed. However, the Assistant Postmaster was on leave. When I approached the staff at Counter 1, she refused to process the request, insisting on additional sets of documents. Despite my explanation that I had complied with the Assistant Postmaster's instructions, she was unwilling to even review the files I had prepared. Her tone was unprofessional and dismissive, and I was told to return the week of 8th September 2025, as she was unsure of the process.
This entire experience has been deeply distressing. There appears to be a clear lack of coordination and clarity in procedures, and the behaviour of the staff--especially at Counter 1--has been consistently rude and insensitive. Please understand that families visit the post office in such circumstances not by choice, but out of necessity, and we are already navigating through an emotionally difficult time, having lost both my parents within a span of five months.
I urge the Department to look into this matter seriously. It is the responsibility of the post office staff to support grieving families by guiding them with clarity, compassion, and professionalism--not to subject them to repeated visits and conflicting instructions.
If such experiences continue, it undermines public trust in government-run savings schemes, especially among senior citizens who rely heavily on these services. Incidentally, even when my mother opened these accounts, she was subjected to similar insensitivity and repeated demands for documents, despite being a senior citizen.
I sincerely hope this appeal reaches the appropriate authorities and that necessary action is taken to ensure a smoother, more respectful process for others facing similar situations.
Thank you for your attention and understanding

They don't deliver the parcel to destination address and keep the parcel with them for many days. Had to go there and collect the parcel.
