Srinagar Passport Office

Very disappointing experience at the passport office. The employees at the counters have extremely poor behavior. They are rude, unprofessional, and hardly care about the people standing in long queues for hours. Instead of helping applicants properly, they give wrong or incomplete information, which creates unnecessary confusion and repeated visits. There is no proper guidance, no respect for time, and no basic courtesy towards the public. Such important government offices should have staff who are polite, responsible, and helpful. Sadly, the service here is the complete opposite. Highly dissatisfied with the overall experience.

Worst department ever. especially the female employees. no professionalism. all the employees are there for the service of people but they make it feel like they own the people? i would suggest government to employ better staff not some abusive ones who send senior citizens home twice in a row when they are the ones who don't help or guide properly.

Worst experience! APO (Assistant Passport Officer) is very rude , dont have manners how to talk with applicants , talking in a rude behaviour , not guiding the applicants what are the problems and what you have to do. Just cancelling the applications and telling correct it .

It's a government dpt. And esply in city , firstly thr is no clear place at out side very less space no seating for disable person and old ages at least. While entry security staff very nice shown us way , thrbis inside waiting room with adhar service then after photostat services and eating stuff then when counter and met staff found nice staff as per my vsist . And I see lotsnof people argue thr. Listen ua documents are clear and as per the rqueiment u r not going to get anybhindrance any where after verification table by table it was realy nice response from staff then I left from exit room withsmiling face of security gaurds .

What kind of passport office is this. No authority given to them just machines working there. If you add mohalla name on passport form and it's not mentioned on Adhaar, what they will do and say is, "edit option diya h now you have to edit by your own and take new appointment". Again we have to book an appointment and visit passport office. Are you guys serious about this. Don't your system give you any authority. Grow and and upgrade your system. If you aren't able to edit mohalla name on my passport form then it's useless. For god's sake update this thing and people invest their time, coming from far places, if you aren't able to edit a word on passport form after checking all original documents then kya he gaali du mai ab

On the day of your appointment, make your way to the PSK office from Dalgate to Ghat no. 12.Reach 15 minutes before appointment time. Carry the printed copy of the appointment receipt at the counter(For Printout and Photostate go to the Ghat No.15).Only applicant is allowed inside the Passport Office. However, in case of exceptions such as Senior Citizen / Physically Challenged / Illiterate / Minor applicants, one person from the family may be allowed to accompany the applicant. DOCUMENTS to be submitted for Fresh/Normal(Original+Xerox):- Appointment Receipt,Aadhar,DOB/10th Marks Sheet(For Non-ECR). Stages for FRESH/NORMAL Passport: At PSK, a paper token will be issued to you after checking of documents. Your application will be processed at Counter A(15-20 minutes )followed by counters B(20-30 minutes) and C(10-15 minutes). At all stages,be alert and watch the token display screens or the staff will call your name in order to know the counter at which your application will be processed. Collect acknowledgement slip from the Exit counter before leaving. Also, you are requested to fill the feedback form at the exit counter. In case of TATKAAL application: Balance service fee has to be paid inside Passport Office.collect the payment receipt from the counter after payment. Application processing at Passport Office may take approximately 2 hours due to additional verifications required before processing of such applications. Therefore, "TATKAAL" applicants are advised to plan their schedule accordingly.

Customer service here is absolutely ridiculous. Employes are extremely arrogant and illmannered. No organization, overall a really bad experience.

I had a truly excellent experience at the Passport Seva Kendra in Srinagar. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and well-organized. What stood out the most was the professionalism and courteous behavior of the staff. Each step was handled promptly, and guidance was provided wherever needed. I would especially like to appreciate the RPO officer Mr Rawat Sir, whose calm demeanor, helpful attitude, and quick decision-making ensured that my work was completed without any delays. It's rare to see such dedication and empathy in a government office. Indeed i made some mistake unintentionally which were rectified by him and i m sorry for that. Kudos to the entire team at the Srinagar PSK for setting such high standards of public service. Keep up the good work.
