Overall a well-managed and efficient office. Staff is generally cooperative, token system is organized, and the process is smoother than expected if documents are complete. Waiting time is reasonable, and counters move in an orderly manner. Some delays happen during rush hours, but the system works fine. Tip: Reach on time with proper documents for a hassle-free experience

My Dad visited this kendra for a prebooked online appointment for renewal and had all the required original documents (chosen beforehand when submitting the online application) with him as proof of birth and address, yet the lady at the desk, for some unknown reason, insisted on aadhar. And due to some typo in aadhar, they put the entire passport process on hold. Nowhere on the passport website or anywhere else does it mention that aadhar was a mandatory document for passport. If aadhar was a mandatory document for passport, then why have a long list of documents to choose from the drop-down at the official website. The staff at this office don't seem to know that passports were made even before aadhar came into being. Absolutely incompetent staff. I am fairly sure they never visited the passport seva website themselves and don't know or understand what they are doing. Mediocrity at its best. I am going to come back here later if google introduces -ve stars. One is way too much. I would like to see their response to my review, but am unlikely to get any. From the other reviews, I can see that they already made up their mind not to improve.

Overall, my experience at Passport Seva Kendra Srinagar was good. The wait time as per Google's appointment system was quite high, but the process inside was fairly smooth. I would especially like to mention Mr. Abass--he is a great and humble person who was very helpful throughout. His professionalism made the experience much better. Thank you for the support!

My cousin had applied for a reissue of his passport and got an appointment. However, due to a couple of typos in his name, he was denied further processing. Though there was an edit option in the application portal, ironically, the specific fields that needed correction weren't editable. He tried everything to fix it, but was left helpless. Even worse, when he visited the passport office, he wasn't allowed to meet the Regional Passport Officer (RPO) despite escalation by a front-desk employee. The staff appeared reluctant, indifferent, and completely unhelpful in resolving such a minor issue. They claimed their software had been "updated," but what's the point of an updated system if it can't handle simple alphabetical corrections? There was no option for a refund of the 1500 fee, and now he has to start over with a new application and pay another 1500. Frankly, this entire digital process feels like a step backward. At least when forms were filled manually, there was some human involvement and flexibility. Either their tech is outdated, or it's too "advanced" for their own staff to operate. Either way, it's the citizen who suffers. Overall: Unprofessional, unethical, and inefficient. One of the worst public service experiences we've had.

This Office is located in front of beautiful Dal lake but lacks Parking facilities, waiting/ seating arrangements outside gate. You do not have any option to park your vehicle on the bund which is completely against law, but there is not any alternative. There is no waiting arrangement outside the gate, if you are carrying a baby with you, then you are very unlucky coz you have to stand outside under hot sun. Necessary arrangement should be made to make experience of People better.

If there's an option to review negative stars i'll review negative for them for their services at PSK Srinagar. There are goons here who just don't see guidelines and want more documents then required for passport and if you don't provide them they'll change date and even you've to pay extra for it.

It wa really a bad experience this time. If she was feeling low she should take a break for some time. She was very hurry even my signature got mismatch, my photograph was not clicked well. She was absolutely not a professional not even her talking tone also she must have to improve her manners and etiquettes while documentation verification after getting token. She treated me as if i came there only for wastage of time.

The documents needed as dob and adress proof mentioned on the official website are incorrect as per the psk srinagar. Common people suffer , whom to blame?
