General Post office, Shimla is located in the centre of the Shimla thoroughfare, where Scandal Point meets the Mall. The building was constructed in 1882, for the Director- General of the Post Office for whole British India. The building also provided the space for the Postmaster General of Punjab. The building of the Shimla GPO is a timber framed structure which is an eclectic mix of different styles similar to the other British era buildings in Shimla.

The new location of post office sanjauli is worst they are now located in one of the sood building not at all convenient to public of sanjauli govt must intervene into this we want post office to be located in sanjauli bazar not in an isolated place in a private property residence.
Heard from people that they are from judicial background and have influenced center to put post office in their building for good return via rent of postoffice to them but it is very invonvenient plz intervene into this.

The worst service from all the departments. Atleast update the contact number of the post office. I think they are least interested in helping customers the work is only done by the post man .
