Passport Seva Kendra, Shimla

The behaviour of the passport office staff is quite unprofessional. They do not explain the required documents properly and respond rudely during corrections. Kindly ensure staff communicate politely and guide applicants clearly

I applied renewal ( not Fresh) passport for my Son( minor) took appoitment in PSK KANGRA office on 16-june 2025 (more then 3 month now) .i dont know what psk kangra staff did,R.P.O Simla said the parent document are missing.the time i submit application all are complete.now simla office told me to came to Simla.but due to road disaster i cant go.after i callcostumer care, the lady said to send document required by post.and i send it on 10 sept 2025.documents reach Simla R.P.O on 15 sept.and now already 3Oct.I send so many email no respond.i call CS,keep said be patient.its how is the service? Its really annoying and until now the status under review at R.P.O office.GREAT.....so what is so hard for only renew.because all data already been there.

First of all don't rely on Negative reviews as these reviews are posted by those persons with lack of information or you may say zero information. They drive through different states to get thier passport work done without having any informations and when they arrive at premises and find that there are some different rules and regulations which everyone have to abide by rather than admitting the fact they start quarreling with the authority persons. Of course this is a government office not anyone's home ,they have to follow it according to the law. Peoples who get appointment here just run here without knowing there is Passport Seva Kendra helpline number they must call and ask the instructions before making any visit. I personally came from 200 kms and my visit was fantastic. I had my appointment for Tatkal passport renewal on 14th March and everything went so smooth and in professional way,though i am from within the state so i didn't face any trouble. Security gurard at gate was so humble and keep calling you according to your appointment time . It took some time to verify the documents however my work was done within 30 minutes. I received my passport within 3 days just cos of delay by the post . I'm so happy with their services and i really appreciate them. Suggestion :- Peoples who are visiting from different states kindly do not book anything Taktak as they don't process tatkal documents from outside the state however they process normal documents. If you are from within the state then you are good to go.

I was suprised by the decorum that was in the passport seva kendra. All staff was good and professional and guided nicely. There was good hygiene. I wish I could show the photos but using mobile their was not allowed. They charged me 1500 at registration website. It was quite high price for me but considering the facilities it was worth it at the end.

Extraordinary staff.... Fabulous They are so mannered i dont knw why people give them low start , i am not from shimla i dont have any relation with them but they are really good not like haryana's or other passport offices

Passport office Shimla is excellent in services. All staff just superb. I have not seen any other govt deptt proving such excellent services. I got my passport (normal) within 4 days (excluding Saturday Sunday). Tatkal to shayad maggi se bhi jaldi bana dete ye log .

Only sweeper works.rest is RAM.trust.very bad experience trust Rating 1/5 And 1 for only housekeeper only

The experience at the Passport Seva Kendra in Shimla was quite frustrating. For hold files, it's unreasonable to make people wait until 11:30 AM without any clear explanation. I just needed to submit a single document, and when I spoke to the staff, they said they would check with a senior person and get back to me--but no one ever returned, even after hours of waiting. This kind of mismanagement and lack of communication wastes people's time and shows a complete disregard for the public's convenience. I hope the authorities take notice and work on improving the system.
