FRRO Panjim

I experienced a very difficult and unfair situation with the FRRO in Goa. During my visit, a women officer blocked me without any clear reason or explanation. She simply asked if I was married and if I had children (I'm 36 years old from France and not married and no children), then arbitrarily blacklisted me cause she judged me not normal life, told me to back to my country and never come back to India with a lot of discrimination! Afterwards, I tried to call and emails, I received no response, even after explaining a serious situation: my girlfriend, who is a foreigner, stayed in India, was a victim of rape, and had to be hospitalized in a psychiatric facility. I urgently requested to be allowed to return to India to support her, but the FRRO ignored my plea without any human consideration or compassion. Later, despite legally obtaining a visa, I was denied entry to India without justification. This behavior is not only incomprehensible but also deeply inhumane, atrocious, and unacceptable. Disciplinary action must be taken against this officer responsible to condemn this abusive and unacceptable conduct. An administration that is supposed to assist foreigners here acts arbitrarily and shows indifference toward serious personal cases. This officer must be prosecuted for her arbitrary and deeply discriminatory actions, and the Indian government has an absolute duty to firmly sanction her for abusing her power against foreigners, without any legal or human justification.

According to my personal experiences.. i am very satisfied with FRRO Goa Panjim.. they're very polite and helpful behaviour. .. i visited for my wife visa extension. And they're decently behaving with smiles. Special biometric attendance person.. and counter no 7 lady madam....

terrible service. They don't respond to email requests at all. Although they say on the phone, write an email. They won't help in any way to solve a problem that didn't arise because of a system error. Does anyone there even know how to work normally?

Applied for Business Visa Extension however that was rejected. Business Visa Expired and told I needed Exit Permit got this with no notice and got to Airport no flights next day was a bank holiday so couldn't do anything until the 29th April 2024 No one willing to help here just told to keep applying for Exit Permit and I feel that my overstay has been forced I have tried everything but no use The complete system is a joke and a failure My advice don't stay more than 180 days unless you have a employment visa Many have fell victim to the same situation as me I know at least 5 people who have had the same issues.

Communication online is the worst. We tried calling again and again for how many days and nobdy picks up the phone for a whole day sometimes, but when someone does, The lady who answered the phone doesn't say anything unless you say a word first. Answering like it is a casual call with attitude saying "YEEES!?" Like we r disturbing her. And then doesn't even listen to queries. She directly say "WAIT" and then KEEP ON PUTTING THE CALL ON HOLD THEN AFTER 10 minutes SHE CUTS THE CALL.

Crazy unhelpful, first application in September nothing happens. Get told to book a flight as you need proof of flight for exit permit 7 days before departure. Go to office and they tell you to cancel flight and make another application which will take 1-2 months. 5 months later they get back to you and say you need to pay 50000 rupees for overstay. Phone number does not work, emails don't get responded to and they straight up ignore you. Where is the logic in forcing people to stay, not allowing them to work, neglecting their pleas for at least just a response and then charging them 50000 rupees to leave??

They don't want to help you. They say they don't have time to help you but helping you is meant to be there job?! They don't want to listen to you, they won't speak to you for more than 30 seconds on the phone and make you travel there to tell you more information they could have just told you on the phone. They lie to you to get you off the phone. They even lie to you in person! I have never in my life nor do I think I ever will again experience such a complete and utter lack of incompetence and rudeness. Whatever you read on the Internet is not the truth regarding time frames for these people! Ignore ignore ignore! You have to keep calling, emailing and chasing them to get anything done. Oh and they will penalise YOU for their tardiness! The government system here needs a serious looking at and I'm sure there will be one particular person here that should definitely get the sack! Completely disgusted and if there is anyway I can take my complaint forward I certainly will look at it!!!

- GREAT SERVICE - Having entered India on an e-Visa I was unable to exit within the proscribed 30 days due you to the fault of the airline. First, I applied online for a Visa Extension but when after three weeks I still had no response, I applied online for an Exit Permit. Although I was notified that my application would be processed within 7 -10 days, after 12 days I still had no response from the online system. Telephone calls and emails weren't answered. So, I decided to see someone in person at the FRRO Panjim. There, a Mr. Thomas soon took care of my concern, quickly found my application in the computer system and assured me that I was likely to get a response within 4 days. This reassurance was highly welcome because I had been left in limbo for 3 weeks by the online system, worrying that the war in Ukraine might spread to my home country endangering my family. The Exit Permit was issued after 3 days, so thanks to Mr. Thomas the FFRO Panjim deserves top marks.
