Passport Seva Kendra, Dum Dum POPSK

Good location. It is 15-20 minutes from Nagerbazar Crossing by rickshaw. There are two tables with 2 staffs. One staff is verifying documents and other is processing biometric, print/scan and taking photo. They are very slow and the room seems like e dumpyard. They are not punctual on time.

Inexperience staff, seems like new hires, they have very less authority over the whole passport process, after having all required documents they were asking for more documents which is not required and looking for flaws, seems more like a help desk than an actual PSK, they transfer simple and basic matters to PSK Kolkata, near Rubi Hospital. Went to renew my passport and the experience I had was not very good, had to visit PSK Kolkata later.

This is a POPSK (Post Office Passport Seva Kendra), hence it is a Small Office. Auto Service is Available from Nagerbazar. If you are coming from Dum Dum Area, then it will be very much helpful for your Passport Application Verification Appointment. If you want quick facility try to get an appointment in PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) Kolkata at EM Bypass (Main Passport Seva Kendra of Kolkata). Any Kind Of Appointments are done through online mode only. Normal Passport Appointment is only done here in POPSK Dum Dum. Tatkal Passport Appointment is not Available Here. There was only one staff working so there might be delay in the process. Queues were not maintaining according to the appointment time due to lack of more staff. Carry the required documents (Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Birth Certificates, Educational Certificates) both in Original and Xerox (Self Attested). Do not carry Print Out E-Aadhaar Card if Signature is not verified, try to carry the Xerox of the Actual Aadhaar Card. No need to carry Print Out of Your Online Submitted Passport Application or Photograph. Your photo will be taken there by the staff. I applied for Normal Fresh Passport (36 Pages) on 1st February, 2023; Passport Application Verification Appointment Done on 2nd February, 2023; Police Verification Completed on 20th February, 2023; Passport Received by Speed Post on 27th February, 2023.

A Good PSK ,if you want less crowd and delay time.for submission of documents, then choose this PSK over the main Kolkata PSK. Just 10mins walk from DumDum Cant. Got all my verification done under 10mins Edit:- Moreover I got my police verification notification with 5-6 days via email after submission of documents at this PSK camp

The ground floor consists of Passport Seva Kendra office. The office opens at 9:30 am. It has two counters with two officials. The behaviour of staff is pleasant and the verification process takes a maximum of 15 minutes. It's a very easy process. I was satisfied with the process.

Worst behaviour by the staffs of TCS. Although I have all documents, they asked me to reschedule to PSK Ruby. my home is in Howrah and I have all supporting documents. These tcs employees are kaamchor.

I have visited this DUMDUM POPSK on 26th December,2025. They are very helpfull and professional at their work. I suggest all of you to visit this as this place is always low crowded.

I had a very disappointing experience at Dum Dum PSK. My appointment was scheduled for 9:15 AM, but the office didn't even open until 9:45 AM. Only one staff was present, and he was not interested in helping at all. I came from Barasat where I'm currently studying, and chose this PSK as it's nearest to my college. But the officer rudely said I must go to the PSK near my permanent address (Panskura, Purba Medinipur), or else change my present address to Barasat. This is unfair and not mentioned anywhere on the official Passport Seva website. As per the rules, we can apply from any PSK if we have a valid reason and address proof, like college ID or bonafide certificate. But they didn't even check or listen. I felt helpless and disrespected as a student who came honestly for passport work. I hope authorities take this seriously and improve the behavior and service at this PSK. Please treat citizens with respect and follow actual government guidelines.
