Howrah Head Post Office

Very disappointing experience. Staff were unhelpful They gave confusing information about Aadhaar correction. I was sent to another office unnecessarily. The work was later done easily through a cyber cafe. This shows lack of responsibility and transparency.

Had a time of my life, post office employees so rude, have no manners to talk, especially the ladies out there! Damn you girls, they will interfere for no reason and create a ruckus there and will play ladies card! To all guys out there please be extra careful while interacting with the ladies there, they might frame you for no reason.

The person at the passport office, was so rude. I don't know why was he throwing tantrums at me, because of minute error. It was an awful experience here!

Very disappointed with this branch, all branch staff's are very casual and also branch deputy manager. He is not available at his office time.

This Head Post Office of Howrah District, situated at howrah maidan besides of Howrah Municipality Corporation, just opposite of howrah district court. A 15 minutes walk in distance from Howrah Station.All type of Postal services are available here. Main problem is long Q. If you are local here then you can avoid Q if you are for Speed post or parcel services. Just come to Mail Business office ( RMS) after 4 p.m. onwards. Entrance is howrah head post office building's main gate just besides of howrah municipality corporation gate. There are also India Post Payments Bank office. You can open Internet app based payments bank account just in 2 minutes instant. Visit during office hour. Need lots of improvement. Most of staffs are lazy and too late to do their job.

This place situated at howrah maidan, beside howrah court. It's 10 minutes walk in distance from howrah station. The structure is reconstructed now. But their service remain same for some unprofessional stuff. But their speed post service are better now.

Situated just at the end of the left flank of Bankim Setu towards Howrah Maidan. Just 10 minutes from Howrah Maidan and 5 minutes from Howrah Junction. It is the Head Post-Office in the district of Howrah of Indian Post. But note that the road is a one-way road , so you cannot come by any transport directly from Howrah Maidan. Many private buses like 52 , 75 , Dasnagar Mini , Banksara Mini takes this route and passes just in front of this Post Office.

Very bad user experience, they charge so minimal for speed post and registered post so huge number of letters come to the postman so he cannot deliver them on time , my request is to increase the charge of speed post and registered post so that limited number of document come to postman so that he can deliver them properly with care like flipkart anad amazon.Or increase number of staffs hugely for more work exposure, bad system like British government
