Passport Seva Kendra Bolpur

I recently visited the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) in BOLPUR, located on the 1st floor of the Sriniketan Post Office in Birbhum district, and I must say it was a refreshingly smooth experience! Unlike the chaotic and overcrowded PSKs in bigger cities, this one is small, well-organized, and blissfully uncrowded, which made the entire process quick and stress-free. It is conveniently located on the 1st FLOOR OF THE SRINIKETAN POST OFFICE in Birbhum district. The office is small but well-maintained, and the environment is very organized. A quick tip for anyone planning a visit: Make sure to carefully prepare and carry the following documents for smooth verification on your appointment day (original plus self-attested photocopies): 1) Passport appointment receipt (Printout) 2) Verified E-Aadhaar card of current date / PVC Aadhaar (Latest photograph to be updated) 3) PAN CARD 4) VOTER CARD 5) Birth certificate (preferably DIGITAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE) 6) Driving licence (if applicable) 7) 10th passing certificate 8) Highest qualification certificate (BSc certificate or MSc certificate) 9) Old Passport 1st two and last two-page xerox (For renewal cases) 10) NOC (for Government employee) 11) Annexure-D (Minor) 12) Photo with white background (Below 4 years of age applicants) 13) Parents Documents and both parents' presence is compulsory for minor applicants. 14) Annexure-F and GD copy for lost passport. 15) Marriage certificate / Annexure-J Overall, a hidden gem for passport services in Birbhum. Highly recommended for a hassle-free experience!

Not good. Office opened late about after 30 mins of given time. The person in the office was adament on taking only his choice of documents. Govt. Has allowed large number of documents as an option in each category. Everyone was afraid their their application will be rejected and the person in officefwill find a fault and willr reject it. I had to fight for my document and convince him for other doc which I took along. Ultimately reissue application was accepted. But the services can be improved, as there is a large gap.

Please book your appointment elsewhere. The officer here has no knowledge, and is extremely rule. An under-informed person just sitting to harass the common citizens and thinks that he's above the rules. He makes his own rules. Haven't met such a unreasonable person ever.

Staff changes sometimes, but overall decent experience, but don't expect facilities like Passport seva Kendra at Kolkata. If you have all documents with you, your work will be done. If you have newer type of documents like e- birth certificate, or birth certificate from different states, they may have problems to verify. In my case, they didn't accept digisigned birth certificate.

Rude person. Don't know how to talk with elder people. Use slangs in his language

Good behaviour of stuffs...well cleaned waiting room and bathroom....but a mirror should be taken in bathroom ....yes it's important..

Location is wrong, it should be Sriniketan Post office, not Bolpur or Santiniketan post office, so make sure to reach correct location. Regarding review, my reporting time was 9:15 and appointment 9:30. When I reached at 9:15, came to know by the staff there informed that the Madam ( the passport officer) will reach come at 10:00am. She came after 10. The waiting room was very much dirty and there was only one fan, which too was not flowing any air. No drinking water or washroom facilities I could see. It was very frustrating. Passport office at 1st floor, but no facility of wheel chair or lift for sick/physically challenged people.
