Serious complaint regarding the extremely poor management at the Kanpur Passport Seva Kendra. On 27 January 2026, applicants had to wait for more than 4 hours for a single application due to a serious shortage of staff. Only two staff members were handling the entire workload, causing major inconvenience to the public. I request the Regional Passport Office, Lucknow, to kindly intervene and increase staff strength at the Kanpur PSK to ensure smooth and timely service. I hope this matter will be addressed on priority.

I was afraid of visiting PSK Kanpur after reading poor comments from recent visitors. I visited PSK Kanpur to renew my parents passport. Total process took less than 30 minutes as they had priority queue for senior citizens. I found courteous and helpful staff from security personnel at entrance, reception and officials. If you have appropriate documents as per requirements, your passport will be approved easily. Below are most recommended documents, one must carry 1. Adhaar card 2. Pan Card 3. 10th Passing Marksheet Upload documents through digilocker as it will expedite approval process. Good luck

They have their own rule, different from what is mentioned on passport seva website. 1) for "tatkal passport renewal", they need 3 ID cards, on which you have same personal details. 2) Non-ECR : they need class 10 & 12 marksheets, even for renewal, and 3) There is no separate queue for Tatkal, it takes same time inside PSK, as it take for normal passport, 3 to 4 hours.

No place to sit, no clear standard guidance or the list of things to be brought or done. Most of all treating people like cattles making them run around from counters to desks. Pathetic service and experience overall. They charge a lot of extra money other than our taxes and then suspect everyone as a criminal and overstepping the requirements set as per the rules. They would create new conditions and invent requirements; which are against their own website, policies and court set guidance; only to make you feel stupid while wasting your valuable time on a working day. Kudos for yet another watsed day of an honest taxpayer while twiddling your thumbs and getting paid by our tax money.

Well , my experience in this psk was fine , took all my papers and ID's with me , due to the rush I had to wait about 1 hour for my token number , then again' 1hour 45mins for the counter B rollcall and after that , everything went quite smoothly , sure there was delay but do bear in mind There were moore than 700 people day in day out in that psk , so be patient , staff was fine Neither terrible nor great , was neutral

Worst staff I could ever encounter. Extremely unprofessional. They do not care about anyones precious time. I waited 3 hrs to get my PCC done. I wish I had some more power to teach them professionalism. How stupid staff can be, they want a client to assume that they have to go counter A, B and then C , how could someone possibly guess this when it is not mentioned anywhere.
