Indo-Bangladesh Tourist Entry Office

Visited the Indo-Bangladesh border near Agartala just for sightseeing. The area is peaceful, clean, and feels completely safe. You can clearly see the international border gate, fencing, and the zero line demarcating India and Bangladesh. Entry up to the border gate is simple. Visitors just have to request permission at the Indian security gate. The officials are very polite, cooperative, and welcoming. They allowed us to go near the border fence after a basic interaction. The officers also explained about the border management and daily coordination between India and Bangladesh, which made the visit more interesting and informative. The location is easily accessible by road from Agartala city (approximately 10-12 km). Vehicles can go right up to the border post without any hassle. Though it's not a formal tourist ceremony spot like Wagah Border, it still offers a unique and memorable experience of witnessing the international boundary in a calm and peaceful setting. A short yet meaningful visit that I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Agartala.

Not very far from Agartala city (about 3km from the main city). Can take taxi or auto from Bartala. Fare is about 60 to 80 rupee.
