Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

The service at the Post Office and Post Office Savings Bank is generally good, and the staff are helpful to people. However, I've noticed that sometimes the staff are not at their seats. I understand this since it's a central government office, but overall their support and service are satisfactory.

Even for 6 months old baby police verification is raised eventhough both mother and father have valid passport and we are using same address. As per norms we also have option to skip it. But people work here is complicating and not providing those options to public.

Good service. Free or reasonable charges. Get an appointment and get support. Waiting time is average. Take appropriate original documents and xerox. No xerox facilities are available within the office. The official is very kind and polite. Client friendly. In one of my brother case they were allowed to convert fresh applications to passport renewal applications with written petition or request letter. Kindly refer to the attached photos and videos for more details. Work hours 9 am to 5.30 pm. Lunch break 1.30 pm to 2.00 pm. Monday to Friday working. Wheel chair access is available for disabled persons. New passport and renewal passport required documents are 10th mark sheet and aadhar card or voter ID or bank passbook or driving license or pan card or birth certificate. For minor passports: birth certificate, parents passport or parents aadhar card.

Take online appointment and then visit with received message of appointment on time. Carry original and xerox of two address proof (aadhar, voterid, bank passbook, license), educational qualification (10th / 12th / graduate certificate), for adding spouse name (marriage certificate) , for renewal - old passport mandatory with above all.for renewal take xerox of mandatory documents and the old passport first and last pages. (xerox - government symbol pages and name address pages) Carry the print (color and xerox) of downloaded E AADHAR and the AADHAR Enabled mobile to receive OTP, this mandatory if you submit AADHAR as proof. Ensure name, father / spouse name, address are same on all identity proofs. For baby passport, both parents and baby should present on the premise. Mandatory documents are birth certificate, parents (if any available) passport, child aadhar, Baby passport size photo with white background (if baby age is less than 3), parents address proof. Carry blue pen to sign on the spot.

If you guys cannot accept applications then please mention it clearly. Passport site FAQs don't mention anything much and ordinary people like us get delayed by all these complex rules and regulations. Why can't a child born out of India apply for a Tatkaal passport. This rule doesn't make any sense.

Went for my kid's passport application. Everyone was treated with respect. All staff were providing information with clarity and friendliness. Verification of the details are taken with care, if anything is not proper, they explain the problem in clear patiently. Had really a good experience.

**Passport verification:** If all the required documents are proper, then it's a seamless process. You will complete the entire process in 30 to 40 minutes. If not, getting approval is really tough. Unlike other places, people here are professional and very strict when it comes to verification, so make sure not to miss any document or details--they're thorough in checking everything. I have listed down all the documents required for smooth passport verification. Bring both original and Xerox copies for verification. 1. 10th and 12th marksheet 2. Recent updated E-Aadhar copy ( which you can get it in the print out shop opposite to the office) 3. Pancard 4. Voter ID 5. Pass book front page copy ( must have your photo with seal, bank seal and signature in the main page) 6. Copy of the last few months passbook entries. Don't provide a blank passbook. The Pass book must have at least the last 3 months entry in it. If not, then provide a printed copy of last 3 month transactions from your respective bank's epassbook. Epassbook can be accessed through your respective bank's mobile app. The last page of the copy must have the seal and signature from your bank. **Passport seva office located next to the post office building **Mini print out shop available in the opposite **Near to busstand ** Make sure to have your address and name in all the documents to be the same. ** No need to carry any passport size photos. The photo for the passport will be taken at the office itself. ** If you don't have all of the above mentioned documents with proper details or miss anything, then please move to Madurai office, cause you won't get it verified at Virudhunagar office unless you bring it properly.
