Nagercoil Head Post Office

The Head Post Office is a busy place that is one stop for all Postal & Postal Payments Bank needs. In addition to Postal services, the complex also has Passport Seva center and Aadhaar Enrollment/Updation services in separate rooms. They have a token system that works and ensure all services are rendered on a FCFS basis. There is a person manning helpdesk that provides all guidance if one has queries. The complex has limited two-wheeler parking and there is limited roadside two-wheeler parking also available. For patrons coming in 4-wheeled drives I would recommend them to park in the Nagaraja Temple Grounds parking & walk to the Head Post Office.

If you only have a smaller version, visit a computer center to obtain the full-size e-aadhar - Bring all documents listed to avoid delays or having your application marked as pending. - If any document is missing, you have 90 days to provide the necessary documents. 3. Interaction with Officers: - The officers are generally cooperative and treat applicants softly,you should bring all documents This information should help ensure a smoother passport application process.

Prompt services and customer friendly. Speed post, banking and all postal services available. When I went to collect a parcel, the staff behaved politely. The postman was waiting for me to handover the overseas parcel as I couldn't collect it from my home. The post office has sufficient space for two wheeler parking.

Yesterday evening, I visited the passport office located in the head post office, Nagercoil, and was very disappointed with their time management. My reporting time was 2:45 PM, and I arrived on time. My appointment slot was 3:00 PM, with a sequence number of 2. They collected applications at 2:45 PM, but didn't start calling people inside at the scheduled time. There was no token system, only a TV screen playing ads. It wasn't clear if they were following the sequence or not. An attendant would occasionally come out, call some names, and ask them to go inside. I waited and waited until 5:00 PM before being called in. Once inside, there was still a queue of about 10 people. Finally, I finished and left the office around 6:00 PM. While the inside staff were polite and treated visitors respectfully, the overall process and time management were frustrating and inefficient.

The Nagercoil Head Post Office Aadhaar office is highly flawed. This is the office people frequent to apply for new Aadhaar ID as well make important changes like change of phone no which cannot be done elsewhere . Since the Head Post office also functions as the Passport appointment office people flock the Head Post Office Aadhar centre more than the Collectorate Aadhaar centre. However the officials attitude here is very pathetic! First of all, there is no computer generated token system. The token is issued by the main working official who does the main Aadhar entry and we have to go inbetween to get our token that the official writes in a slip of used paper without a seal and there is no guarantee that we are being issued the actual que token no. Surely some people can come to the Aadhar center late and have priviledges to get a near que no while the others have to wait the whole day long. Can't the Head Post Office have a computer token system? Second, some people who receive the token just stand there without waiting for their turn and they are not to be blamed for that official just doesn't care to call any sequence no. She's also dead slow or must be given an assistant because it's not easy to take Aadhaar for small children and aged people. The other official is only too busy talking to other colleagues over the phone or gets involved with rapport with customers instead of doing his duty diligently and swiftly. Third, as I said there is only one active official with one active counter. The other official is not known why he's seated on an opened system when even the minor changes like phone no changes were not taken by him until we questioned their que system. Infact many more officials made an entry to check the que system was ensured while the whole FN they didn't give a damn or made effort to open an additional counter thereafter. Sir, please don't make the public suffer for Aadhaar requirements by giving these charges solely to the Head Post Office. Else make the Aadhar Office function efficiency with diligent staff, extra counter and by making it stress free and hassle free for the people. Also permit post offices from every important place in Kanyakumari district to issue or make changes in Aadhar.

Speed post and all postal services available. Staff all are polite and behave humble. They give us all information about postal service and helping us to solve any issue. It's the head post office of kanniyakumari dist. It located near Nagarajara temple. There is an only issue is less parking area, becz daily many of them using this post office but there is not much parking place to park our vechile.

Visited Nagercoil head post office for passport verification . They require more documents than what they have mentioned in the official site. I had documents like, aadhaar ( e aadhaar with green tick mark), marksheet, pan card, bank passbook. They didn't let me in, as the passbook didn't have manager signature ( Note : most passbook these days don't have manager sign as they are electronically generated ). I was asked to reschedule the appointment and visit another day Here's a list of documents to carry 1. Aadhaar card ( the pvc card from official website or e-aadhaar taken on the date of appointment ) xerox and original 2. Bank passbook sealed and signed by manager- a clear xerox copy and original 3.Recent Bank passbook entry last pages( last two pages) - a clear xerox copy 4. 10th marksheet - xerox and original Instead of passbook you have any other valid Id proofs like voter id or ration card ( carry xerox and original)
