Similar poor experience the second time has pushed me to share my experience. I hope it'll be useful for those who approach VFS for availing Visa (specially for Germany). I am working for a German company (into Medical devices) since 4 yrs now, being stationed in India. Applied for a Schengen Business visa in 2024 thru VFS to meet my colleagues, a small training, business plans etc. Submitted all the docs along wid company invitation letter etc and to my surprise it GOT REJECTED. All the time & energy in preparing for the docs, travel, money etc wasted. They say getting a business visa is complicated hence this time recently (9th Feb 26) i applied as tourist Visa. Same invitation letter from my Boss along with accommodation details etc. my 3 yrs ITR, my property docs etc etc. Even this time it GOT REJECTED. When i called ambassy they said i should have included a few more docs like "Rent Agreement of Germany office/apartment" Permanent Id of my Boss etc etc (though his Passport was added by me). If they dont know which all docs shall be required by the ambassy to process the Visa the why are they taking such a handsome FEES etc etc?? I don't know about others, but wid my Twin experience i can definitely say that VFS staff is totally ignorant about the formalities, req. of docs etc specially for Schengen Visa. Hence would suggest all to go directly to ambassy to avoid wasting your time and money and facing continuous disappointment,

The staff in Jaipur seem to deliberately point out irrelevant issues in the visa form that have little to no impact on the actual verification process. After highlighting these so-called "mistakes," they ask applicants to either correct them on their own within 10 minutes or pay 3500 for the corrections to be done by them. Naturally, most people choose to get it done at the VFS office itself to avoid further complications and delays. However, the problem is that once they make the corrections, they do not show what changes were made in the form and simply proceed to collect the payment. This feels like a very unfair practice and appears to be a way to take advantage of applicants who are already under pressure. It is disappointing to see such behavior from a service provider handling an important process like visa applications.

This is my day 3 of trying to just log in and trying to book an appointment. I really hope that you're atleast aware how frustrating your website experience is! And it is not just me who is pulling my hair using your website, many of my family members and friends have gone through the same experience. Your OTP system and confirmation link system is crap! Please fix it! People lose available appointment dates just because they have to spend hours just to log in! We don't receive OTPs or confirmation links, neither on email nor on phone number as text message. Even if we are able to log in, the system keeps logging me out automatically. Do you not understand, that people might need some time to book the appointment & optional services? If I don't do it super fast, the system keeps logging me out. The torture doesn't stop there. There is more. Because of frequent log-outs / log-ins, the system disables my account ! Wow! Your software architect and developers really deserve a standing ovation. Moreover, the website also gives false error messages like "end date should not be before start date" even though my dates perfectly alright, my god, what horror is your website, God save me!!!

The overall experience was unsatisfactory. The helpline number is either not operational or does not function properly, and there is no effective help desk support available. The website also does not work properly, causing further inconvenience. Additionally, visitors are asked to provide unnecessary photocopies of documents that could be managed internally. There are also no proper seating arrangements for visitors, which is particularly inconvenient for those coming from outside.

Fast service since footfall is less. Polite and informative staff.

Very bad experience. The staff is very rude, they will do upsell and make you purchase their premium service additionally by finding random flaws in your application. The premium is 5k per person and despite that they took more than 2.5 hours to process. They even told that we have to bring cash to pay for visa fees and they are not accepting upi/cards. Pathetic service

I've came to VFS office jaipur, it was highly disproportionate experience. They are so pathetic even smallest thing can trigger them. They just see anything & reject the form. Even we're getting another print then they bother & force us to go in premium lounge. Really very bad experience ever. Not at all satisfied & would suggest to go to another Vfs office

Useless people and unopertaive pho es... no way u can contact them for any assistance. Just wasted our time n money
