I had my passport reissue appointment here on 10/09/2025 (Batch 23 Seq 17). When I reached, the security staff told me that bags are not allowed inside. I asked them where I can keep it, but they said there is no locker facility and told me to leave my bag outside in the open public area at my own risk. This is extremely unprofessional. How can someone leave their belongings with important documents and money outside without safety? Because of this, I was not allowed inside, and my 1500 appointment fee and around 1000 travel cost got completely wasted. The passport office should provide at least a basic locker facility for applicants. People travel from far away and carrying a bag is normal. Denying entry just because of this is very unfair.

I would like to formally raise a complaint regarding the unprofessional behaviour and poor conduct experienced today at the Passport Office located on Jalandhar Bypass, Ludhiana. During my visit, the security staff, particularly a guard identified as Mr. Bhandari, displayed rude and discourteous behaviour toward applicants. Instead of assisting visitors in an organized and respectful manner, the guard appeared more focused on phone conversations and did not pay proper attention to managing people waiting at the premises. Applicants were repeatedly instructed to keep their bags outside without being provided clear guidance, proper explanation, or secure arrangements for belongings. The communication style used was disrespectful and lacked basic professionalism expected at a government service center. Additionally, the overall environment felt poorly managed due to: * Lack of clear instructions for applicants entering the premises * Unnecessary delays caused by inattentiveness of security staff * Absence of polite communication while addressing public queries * Behaviour that created discomfort and stress among applicants rather than facilitating smooth entry procedures Security personnel play an important role in maintaining order; however, they are also expected to treat citizens with respect and professionalism. The conduct observed today did not reflect the standards expected from staff representing a public service office. I kindly request that the concerned authorities look into this matter, provide proper training to the security staff regarding public interaction, and ensure respectful and efficient handling of applicants in the future.

Easy to find as located on Ludhiana to Jalandhar GT Road Opposite to Green Land Sr Sec School. Plenty of Parking and seating available. Food options also available as Dominos Pizza outlet is also there. local food also available outside the Mall. Same has been inaugurated on 07 July 2025. Operation work starts from 08 July 2025. People will not traffic Jams now.

Very poor service. Token service is really bad. I got the appointment at 12:45pm n should be out at 1pm. But they are having lunch time and no value of time. The staff is not good and no good communication and not attending the individual properly. On the contrary, the previous passport which was near preet palace, the staff was good n no delay was there before

Very bad service. For children no body serious. Too much time to wait for numbers. After so many requests no body listen. Also no any employee in C counter. Also request to A.P.O officer he told to C counter but that employee no care. Still I am waiting from 9.30am till time but not response by passport office employees. At present I m in passport office.

Ludhiana passport centre robs people of money in the name of tatkaal application. They assured me that by paying 4,000 my passport will be issued within 3 working days but it has still taken more than 2 weeks with no response. The centre staff is unapologetic, lacs basic empathy and competence. It is a horrible institution with no management skills whatsoever.

Very crowded now days, in tatkaal no priority to children and old age persons, No water even, you have to wait an hour for your turn to go upstairs, slow working. I can't see fast prosess if you fill online or paying three time more in Tatkaal. If you book Normal appointment then you'll get appointment after 3 months. They have to increase staff for fast working.

Not so good experience. I read through all reviews and other stuff so that i don't miss any document for my parents passport renewal. I took aadhaar downloaded from uid website as well as one of my parent didn't have a pvc card, but to my surprise, they need some other aadhar authenticated which only the photostate person gives and don't tell how they download (even after asking) it and charge 200 rs for it. No matter what, you've no choice. If you've pvc card for aadhaar, it's fine, else please make sure to get a copy of digitally signed aadhaar else you've to pay 200 and unnecessary problem. Plenty of under construction parking space at -3 level for 50rs. Early appointment (9-10am) have less people, we were done in 30-40 mins and by the time we left, there was huge lineup of people with very little place to stand or sit.
