Hopeless service. I applied for renewal of my passport and carried all the required documents from my school leaving certificate to PhD certificate, pan, adhar, driving licence, marriage certificate. The passport officer does not understand that middle name and surname changed after marriage! My husband is an Indian Army Officer and I provided identity and residence proof from the Indian Army also. Yet he says that my documents are not in order. What kind of uneducated persons are employed at Aska? Very disappointed. My husband's passport has come but no intimation about my passport. I applied for a renewal and this is the state. I have lodged a complaint on every possible site but nothing has changed so far. This is because of an officer who doesn't know his work.
