It's almost 10 but still closed

Would be nice if there is a specific rules and regulation regarding the submission and applying of driving licence. Becuase we just wait for hours sometimes just to ask one question or enquire something which doesn't even take time. The staffs are quite good and easy to communicate.

Too slow and employees are always late. Making getting a driving license such a hassle. Please improve your timing and be more punctual.

Employee's doesn't care about people, works too slow, ignores people(female employees). Employee's doesn't come for work on time. All they make you do is wait. give phn no. for appointment/inquiry, but doesn't turn on the phn. only excuses

Well i don't know why the staffs there are rude and sometimes irresponsible. Nothing much to comment. On the pros, you can get your driving license and other stuffs about vehicles done there. Cons, the procedure is slow(it will get dark by the time you get your chance to get any work done; simply, there is no proper procedure in the office).

I have been trying to get my licence for more than 2 months now. They keep sending me back and postponing the driving test saying this and that. Their favourite reason " staff out of station for training". Pathetic how the department works. Very dirty office.

Honestly one of the most corrupted govt.establishment in kohima. It seems like this RTO is even above the state govt. itself as none of the state govt.orders are followed. No proper norms are followed in issuing documents especially those unsold bs4 customised to bs6. I bought my car alto 800 in 2020 from SEYIE AUTO and I was a victim of this corruption. The nexus of corruption between them is at it's height that anyone can buy an alto 800 and now even espreso paint it with local taxi colour and ply. Obtaining a taxi permit is all about money and thus depriving our local indiginous unemployed youths. According to the norm first preference are supposed to be given to those genuine indigenous local unemployed youths. But only money talks hence we all are aware almost half of it are owned by those non locals some are said to be registered in the name of locals. And now this customised alto 800 system is a very serious issue cause its about the life of those innocent passengers. Govt. should take some immediate action before any such disaster takes place. My personal opinion is that this maruti suzuki alto 800 should be banned as taxis and replaced it with high security system HYUNDAI cars.

Prior Appointment Needed for applying for new Driver's License. The working of the registration and license procedure can be streamlined and made more orderly.
