Aadhar Card Regional Office, Rynjah,Shillong

The Aadhar Card Center is located on 1st Floor of a building. It opens at 9.30 am not at 9 am as shown in google. As per them it opens on all 7 days. The center has around 7 work stations but generally only 3-4 are functional. I went there for biometric update and it took around 1 hr 30 min for the update to complete. Waited for too long even only 3-4 people were ahead of me. They said server is slow. However, I found staff OK. Fees for biometric update is rs 100/-. There is no parking, one has to park on road itself. Its better to come by two wheeler. Photos of timings and rates are being posted along with review.

Second time visiting this Aadhaar Center. First time was a few years back... The services then because of just minor update wasn't so bad but it took a long time and the guard wasn't friendly. Not trained in handling public. 2025..... Visited to Change address, was given form and it was filled. They objected to it because the seal was not placed correctly and headman name was not in capital letter. That was fine and its okay and I had ask if there was any other issue. They said at the counter,the girl, that all i have to fix was that placement of seal as they have to scan the picture. Again on 24th after all correction was made as per their instructions, it was again rejected due to photograph . Apparently clothes had to be white. THIS was not instructed or pointed out ecer. Even in last visit where they showed placement of seal. Now, as someone who has to come from far place this was unacceptable. As not only does it cost money and time , it is also an issue when one has to visit the local headman on multiple times for same issue. On top of that, while that is a problem, it was more of the attitude and mishandling that was a concern. The smirks on the receptionist with the heavy makeup was unacceptable. They are in public service and if they are not trained to handle a simple giving out instructions and maintain poise then they have failed. 3 times entered, three times disappointed. Only writing this review as awareness and futre need. As this was not on first time visit that there was issue.

I went update adress they give me 1 form and they explain me well , and my work is done , good staff behaviour security was good..

Staff too much over Acting. Some time they give excuse because they tired to work

Well maintained centre, waiting process is everywhere because we know they can't treat someone special we have to bind by the rules as every centre does though it's private or government sector. Facilities are well equipped with and there is no to complain on the basis of the work procedure.

Asking unnecessary document just because I am from assam i provided electricity bill and my passport and my election that is all from shillong and i was born and bought up in shillong. They said they need a date of birth certificate from assam and a proof that my parents are from shillong they said they need my parents date of birth certificate to process my adhar card its clearly mention in the adhar card website about the documents. This Ladies working in the entry of the counter are uneducated and zero knowledge very unhappy now I have to go to assam even though I am from shillong.
