Visited Baner Office.... Really Awesome Experience... Smooth flow....Hassle free service..... All staff co-operative... Good location...

- Limited 2 wheeler parking - No 4 wheeler parking - TCS guys do great job at Counter A. Done within couple of minutes - Govt guys who verify the documents at counter B take a lot of time. - Counter C guys don't have much to do so they also don't take much time. Overall better than Mundhwa PSK but still they need to optimise the bandwidth of B counters.

Very streamlined operations hardly took 30 mins

Extremely long ques. Waiting time can stretch upto 6-7 hours. Very disappointing. Out of total 35 counters only 13 are operating

As government is busy improving citizen services, let me take this chance to help people coming for passport services to this PSK.. Today, 22 April 26, had an appointment for normal reissue and changed address. No issues in arriving at a prominent and plush new office place (PSK) in Montclaire, near Baner Pashan link road, Pune. ; Regional passport office is at the next turn nearby). Parking on your own (2 or 4 w) roadside nearby and a paid parking lot at the end of the road nearby... Better to come by a drop- off vehicle... Then everything else was smooth... Finished in 1 hour... Security allows own carry on bag, mobiles on silent (unlike old restrictions of no belongings or transparent only folders etc). Scan your appointment letter or mobile image at entry kiosk and next front counter quickly guides documents needed, gives token. You receive a token sms also. Then you move quickly as per screen-displayed token and counter numbers ... Counter A for initial screening, checks, photo, fingerprints, online aadhaar authentication, signatures and if all in place.... Move to counter B, where official checks all online (done in 1 min at the counter),.... Then you move to counter C where govt official (granting officer) checks originals etc. and grants passport if all ok...these counters finished in 2-3 minutes each (as I had uploaded all needed documents online with digilocker access/authentication online, as possible (at the time if filling application form.). That made it so hassel free.. you don't have to wait, neither talk a word except a sincere ' thank you' to officials... Exited in 1 hour... where paper/kiosk feedback is possible to fill in. You get a passport approval sms (if granted) immediately before exit. Did not have to pay any extra for VAS like sms service etc. as earlier. Facilities available inside are a photocopy machine and a small snack,/tea coffee machines at a corner before counters A). Interiors are plush, clean and air conditioned. Seating is available at all counters, but a bit crowded and lowish (?problem for senior citizen)... But not a major issue .. If we are disciplined, officials, helpers are helpful too (that's what I feel). Child or seniors accompanying people should plan well to avoid confusion or dropping/forgetting items... Will advise all to upload as many documents online at application filling as possible to avoid delay and tension... Keep all necessary and more than necessary documents (I would say, like more proofs, all family relatives'documents also handy, like spouse's or child's passport copy, proofs) and all originals with you to avoid re-scheduling visit for denial. Arrive well in advance at the venue. Keep your aadhaar and biometrics unlocked and allow digilocker access to required docs, to make process very very streamlined. (had aadhaar and PAN uploaded)and nothing more than a copy of existing passport was needed to be attached there and signed in front of the counter A official...that's all.. Lot of good eateries are available nearby...pizza hut and DIY stores are adjacent. To keep accompanying people occupied , if needed ! :). Overall a smooth process and a pleasing experience for a govt. job. Would be more thankful to govt if they can make easy safe parking available and provide some sheltered waiting areas outside for accompanying 1 person, like for people travelling in from outside Pune . I don't know the scene in rainy or hot summer season. Also ministry should highlight all available facilities at each PSK with photos,on its website/online appointment site, to give an exact idea to citizens. this will improve appeal and satisfaction. Technology and political willpower to improve citizen experience is helping a lot ... Wish digital India shines bright all throughout! Parking facilities are unavailable, which adds to the inconvenience. The overall process flow is poorly managed. Around 35 to 40 individuals are scheduled at Counter A at the same time, while Counters B and C can accommodate only 12. Out of these, 7-8 slots are often allocated to Tatkal tokens, leaving hardly 3-4 counters available for normal tokens. After completing Counter A, there is a mandatory waiting period of 2-3 hours before proceeding further, which leads to significant delays. Overall, the lack of coordination between the counters results in overcrowding, long waiting times, and an inefficient experience. This process needs better planning and proper synchronization.
