Post Office Passport Seva Kendra

After reading many negative reviews, I was honestly worried about visiting this Passport Seva Kendra. Most reviews mentioned rude officers, lack of help, and long waiting times of 3-4 hours. However, my experience was completely different. I arrived in the morning, my process started almost instantly, and everything was completed within just 10 minutes. All the officers were polite, helpful, and understanding. Thank you to each and every officer for making the process smooth and stress-free.

I had a good experience at Passport office at Dombivili during my Son passport renewal .The staff were very cooperative and supportive . Our work is done within 30 min. Online process and appointment was smooth process and within 20 days he had received his new passport. Thank you for fast service.

Overall good. If you are in Non-ECR (10th & above pass) Documents required:- 1. Pan card (DOB proof) (1 copy and original) 2. Aadhar card (Address proof) (1 copy and original) 3. 10th or 12th marksheet or passing certificate (For Non-ECR proof) (1 copy and original) 4. Passport application form (signature and passport size photo attached) 5. Appointment slip (print out is not mandatory) All the documents must be signed. Digilocker documents is also valid if physical copy is not available.

Just next to Post Office. Good Experience. The people were cooperative and the service was quick if you have the required documents intact. No unnecessary delay. The xerox/printing shop is quite a walk near the Pendharkar College. There's are benches for seating and waiting. Also enough parking space available.

I had a fantastic experience at the Dombivli Post Office Passport Office on 28.03.2025. The staff members were extremely cooperative, efficient, and professional. I reached at 9:50 AM and was out by 10:15 AM, thanks to their smooth and well-organized process. If you have all the required documents and use DigiLocker, the process is quick and hassle-free. Don't be discouraged by negative feedback--many issues arise when applicants come unprepared. A big thank you to all four staff members for their excellent service. Keep up the great work!

I had visited for reissue of passport & the whole process was very smooth. The officer & staffs are very courteous and cooperative. Organized, systematic as well less time taken for completion.

Patient and helpful staff. There is a designated person to verify your documents if you go at the reporting time mentioned in your appointment form. Carry all the required orignal documents along with self attested xerox copies (1 document for age proof, 2 for address proof, educational marksheets for ECNR). For safer side carry 2 sets of xerox copies. Above documents would be required irrespective, if you are applying for fresh or renewal (along with old passport). In total 3 counters are there where the verification and process is carried out. So there may be waiting time but if you have the documents in place then actual process would not take much time.Try to get the first or second appointment of the day to avoid wait time. Alternatively, try visiting the center once before to see how the process works and exact documents required to avoid any last minute hassle. Do not go thinking if a document or 2 are missing you may get through the process.You may end up giving negative reviews. Passport size photo may not be required as they take your photo there along with biometrics. Digi locker is a must for Aadhar verification.

*Very disappointing experience at the passport office.* The staff -- especially the male officers -- were extremely rude and lacked basic manners. They behaved as if they were doing us a favour, not as public servants assisting citizens. There was no proper guidance at any step, which led to unnecessary delays and confusion. My appointment was at **11:00 AM**, and I arrived on time. A lady at the entrance checked my documents, told me to self-attest them, but **did not ask me to submit them or inform me about the next step**. So I waited, assuming I would be called. After waiting for 1.5 hours, I asked someone when my name would be called. Only then I was told I hadn't submitted anything -- **because no one informed me I had to**. At the **first desk**, the male officer was extremely rude and . He blamed me for coming late, even though I had been there since 11. I explained the situation, and his response was something like, *"Toh agar nahi puchte toh din bhar baithe rehte kya?"* How is this an acceptable way to speak? At the **second desk**, the officer grabbed my documents and again taunted me about being late. I explained I had been waiting for hours, but he didn't believe me and started cross-checking with others. When I asked him to verify with the lady who had checked my documents, his response was: *"Ja, ata aramat khaun jevun ya."* How unprofessional and insulting! After the **lunch break**, they finally processed my application -- but the attitude and lack of empathy continued. At the **final counter**, I asked politely, *"Abhi next process kya karna hai?"* The officer sarcastically replied, *"Abhi ghar pe jana hai."* Is this how you talk to people? With such disrespect? --- Overall, the entire experience was exhausting, humiliating, and frustrating. The only positive part of the entire experience was one lady officer, who was kind and supportive throughout. I truly appreciate her for helping me stay calm and guiding me wherever possible. She was the only one who treated me with basic respect.
