Today I visited post office PSK Chengannur.. Appointment time 9.30am ..1st officer verified documents at 9.45am and called me for taking photos and fingerprint at 10 am ..within 25minutes all my process completed...at 10.25am Im comes out ..very smooth operation...I didn't see any negative here only issue is No parking facility... otherwise everything is going smoothly...Reach at least 15 minutes prior to Appointment time carry all orginal Documents and 1 set self attested Copy that's alla and obay there instructions that's alla ...

Try not to chooses this stupid center not in systamatic way . 11am appointment they were calling on 2pm . The officer's were simply talking there personal with without doing there job .

The passport office at Chengannur has its Pros and cons, if we must say. Pros: This office is a boon for residents in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam districts. Earlier we had to go to Kottayam to avail these services. Shops are available nearby to book the slots, printing, and so on. These shops will help people who are not aware of the process. The lady officer who was seated in the office when we visited clearly knows her responsibilities and was doing a fantastic job. She instructed applicants to keep in line and clarified their doubts with patience, especially with other two officers being non-Keralites. Cons: No parking space. Appointments take a longer time to get called. Seating space is also very limited. Footwears are not permitted inside the office, no idea why.

This passport office runs on three heroic staff members trying to process an army of applicants. They're sincere and hardworking, but the result is still endless waiting and surprise errors because multitasking has its limits. Seating is minimal, parking space is imaginary, and patience is mandatory. I think applying from Alappuzha or Kollam passport offices might get your passport delivered before your turn comes here.

The processing time is very slow due to the limited number of officers (only three). I would recommend visiting the Pathanamthitta or Alappuzha passport office instead. Make sure to carry photocopies of all required documents. Otherwise, you'll have to go out and find a shop. Note that there is no car parking space.

1 Star | POPSK Chengannur - Disappointing Experience My recent visit to POPSK Chengannur was quite disappointing. I had an appointment for my 4-month-old son's passport. Though the reporting time was 12:45 PM, document verification happened only around 1:00 PM, and we had to wait until 3:30 PM for biometrics and photographs. The main issues with this POPSK are: 1. No priority for infants or senior citizens. 2. Only two counters for biometrics and just one officer for document verification, despite the crowd. 3. Poor token management - people can jump the queue unless staff intervene. 4. Limited seating and no air conditioning, making the wait uncomfortable. My sincere suggestion: Avoid POPSKs like this one, especially for minors or elderly applicants. Instead, opt for full-fledged PSKs like Alappuzha, Trivandrum, Kollam, Kottayam, or Ernakulam, where facilities and systems are much better.

Had a fast and smooth experience in renewing passport.

I had a very smooth experience here. I was called exactly at my allotted time, and even with a correction from my end, the entire process was completed within 15 minutes. Staff were punctual, patient, and very professional. Highly appreciative of their efficiency and dedication.
