Absolutely pathetic experience at Passport Seva Kendra Channapatna. Our appointment was scheduled for 1:45 PM. We arrived on time like responsible citizens. Guess what? There was literally no one available to attend applicants. Staff casually showed up at 4:00 PM while dozens of people, including senior citizens and families, were left waiting without any communication or explanation. No accountability. No time management. No respect for people's schedules. If applicants are even 5 minutes late, they reschedule or make it a big issue. But when the staff is 3 hours late? Apparently that's normal. This kind of unprofessional behavior is unacceptable for a government service handling important documents. Fix your time discipline and respect the public's time. This was beyond frustrating.

Yes, this passport office is good because getting an appointment in Bangalore takes too much time. This is the best passport office for people from Ramanagar district. However, apart from government officials, there seem to be other people working here who are not actual government employees. If you have all the proper documents, everything will be handled smoothly. There's no need for involvement from anyone other than the government employees.

I chose this Passport Office after seeing the early available slot and traveled all the way from Bangalore to Channapatna for the passport application. Honestly, I was surprised to see such a small office with only basic facilities, just 3 staff members in total (2 handling applications and 1 security guard). But I must say, the officials here are excellent: cooperative, polite and very helpful in guiding you through every document. Overall, it was a great experience. If you're considering this branch from Bangalore, it's a good choice. Just be prepared for limited amenities like toilets or snacks, which you'll need to manage on your own.

Very worst experience I would not recommend this Passport Seva Kendra. The staff appear poorly trained, indifferent to standard procedures, and possibly complicit in unethical practices--all of which lead to significant delays and frustration for regular applicants.

We had booked the appointment seeing early slot availability and at the last moment we were about to cancel seeing all negative reviews, finally we went ahead and our experience was pretty smooth at the centre. It was processed Almost on time and the people were co operative (delay may happen because some people's processing will take extra time). Very next day we received police verification call. After police verification it took 15 days to dispatch (next day after we called to check the status of our application), which personally I felt bit delayed... Overall w.r.to to centre and people there no issues. So giving 5 star.

I had a very disappointing experience with this Passport Seva Kendra Channapatna In the last week of April, I had scheduled an appointment for my mother's passport renewal. Unfortunately, the staff here did not properly verify whether all the necessary documents were submitted or if the information on them matched. They accepted her Aadhaar card and old passport but refused to take her PAN card, which clearly mentioned her correct date of birth, even after I specifically requested it. As a result, I received an objection letter from the passport office stating that proof of date of birth was missing. I had to revisit the Seva Kendra, explain that the PAN card was essential, get it attested, and then courier it to the Bangalore Regional Passport Office. Despite doing all this, there was no update for over a month. I emailed the regional passport office--no response. I contacted customer care, who informed me the application was on hold and advised me to book another appointment and visit the regional office in person. Only after three months was my mother's passport finally dispatched. Unfortunately, the experience was just as frustrating with my father's passport renewal, which took place a few days later. Even though I clearly said he would remove his spectacles for the photo, the staff had him wear them. Again, we received an objection letter. I had to manually fill out the application, attach a new photo, and courier it. That passport also took three months to arrive. What's also concerning is that the staff here seem to give preferential treatment to agents. These agents are allowed to type applications, punch old passports, and even take photos on behalf of applicants--essentially managing the entire submission process themselves. It appears this is happening because the agents are bribing the staff, which is both unfair and unethical. Based on all this, I would not recommend this Passport Seva Kendra.
