Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Dhanbad

I applied for passport, booked appointment and went, first thing very bad behaviour of the passport seva employees, the person threw the documents on me just because the documents required were missing and told that I won't see it unless you bring all the documents, I took documents which passport seva website said mandatory and if the documents were missing then he should have just said calmy that bringt all the requiredddocuments. That person is representing the passport authority of India and doesn't know how to behave with a lady. Really this is a matter of shame and disappointed that we are having such kind of government employees.

There is no maintenance although the workers are nice there is no fixed timing every thing is broken an not maintained at all the chairs are broken there is no place to sit

It is located at narrow Street right side of post office ATM you have to go at the end where generator is placed. Be Alert don't give any extra money to officers at sewa kendar.

It is difficult to find initially as Google Maps places it in the middle of nowhere. How ever, a careful questioning to the Local Chai walas reveal its hidden secret location. To be precise, the Passport office is located Behind the Head Post office of Dhanbad and to access it, take the gate just after the Dhanbad Post Office ATM and walk 32m walk straight down the aisle, to lace a small door with blue curtains on your Right. Inside the office is a quiet place with a proper queue maintained which is a real good thing given that most of the passport offices are crowded and over filled. However, what is even more entertaining is the background music that keeps playing ( on someone's mobile) that ranges from 2018 bollywood Item Number to 1960s Lataji tracks. The service may be considered good in terms of quality but average in terms of speed. However, the slow speed can be attributed to the thorough check of each details that they maintain. I remember the front desk person questioning for 1 extra dot at the end of the address. Overall, this place is a place of ease for people of Dhanbad and provides hassle free and speedy work P.S. Background betting noises and powercuts( despite being in Head Post Office Campus and 400m away from Electricity Office) are common.

It's very clean place. The lady officer there is gem of a person. She was so fast with all the processes. My work was done in less than 7 minutes.

Very Bad Services. Very slow employee. Very Disappointing. No one is following appointment time. My appointment time was 10:15 AM but my number had come around 12:30PM. So my suggestion is, please have extra time when you have appointment in Dhanbad Passport office

Place is well connected but if you go for the passport office they are very slow and always running by 1 hr or 2 hr late. 11 AM appointment will be done by 1 pm.

The small office is just behind the head post office, now you don't need to go to kolkata or ranchi passport office for your document work. several PSKs are open at district level. You will get your work done within an hour or less.
