I was there for my wife and son tatkal appointment.
I am on time reached and take necessary documents and follow systematic process of there.
Security check, gate pass check , documents verification, token system and scan documents, photocopy machine system , dispute resolution system and biometric and other back hand system.
Hall is always crowded well arranged seating and system fast moving.
But about hygeine and food ,water , toilet and handicapped person I am not sure.
Work overload of staff is seen .
Documents verification is very strictly followed.and even you can not convenience them for any changes.
They have there list of documents and rules you have to follow.
I think AI in future makes automated of you not understand the human input or error.

My experience at the Passport Seva Kendra was generally good. The staff was professional and the process was well-organized. Token management was smooth, and most counters worked efficiently. The facility was clean and instructions were clearly displayed.
There is still some scope for improvement, especially in reducing waiting time during peak hours and improving guidance for first-time applicants. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience and much better than expected.

The location is convenient since it's right beside the city bus stand and Reliance Mall, with McDonald's and Burger King nearby if you're early or done. Entry is simple, just show your appointment letter to security, stand in the line, and then move to the token counter. My process went smooth because it was a renewal and I already knew which documents and self-attested copies were needed. The main issue is the token counter taking a lot of time, and there aren't enough seats while waiting. Many people bring bags and food inside even though it's clearly not allowed, and a few still don't bring self-attested copies even after being told. There's a Xerox counter charging two rupees per page, which helps, but the overall flow would be better if more counters and more TV screens were active because some remain unused and it slows things down. Staff seem tired and sometimes get annoyed over small things like darker Xerox prints, but the work still gets done if your documents are correct.

Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with the passport service, especially at the APO-1 office. For the amount charged, one expects professionalism, clarity, and basic respect -- none of which were present.
During my first appointment, there were long delays and poor communication. The lady officer at the counter was rude and dismissive when I asked questions, acting as if addressing customer queries was a burden. Let me be clear -- if you are charging a significant fee for a service, assisting customers is your duty, not a favor.
Being an NRI, this experience made me understand why so many NRIs hesitate to return to India. Government services are already inefficient, but when even passport offices show the same careless, arrogant attitude, it reflects how far we still have to go in terms of service quality and accountability.
After my first visit, I booked another appointment immediately after updating my Aadhaar online, hoping things would improve. Unfortunately, I faced the same delays, and once again, the same lady at APO-1 -- who was even more unprofessional this time. She refused to process my case, saying my Aadhaar wouldn't work since the version was different than what she needed. I explained that during my previous visit, I was told just to update my Aadhaar, which I had already done. Still, she kept arguing and changing requirements without clear explanation.
After a long discussion, she told me to get a "different version" of Aadhaar and come back without a new appointment. I went out, tried to download it -- but the Aadhaar portal itself wasn't working. After struggling for quite some time, I managed to get another copy and returned, only to be told again it wasn't acceptable. I calmly explained that these are government systems, not in my control. Instead of showing any understanding, she remained rude and unhelpful.
After spending over two to three hours going back and forth, I was told my case was "escalated to the RPO" and that I would need to wait another 10-12 days. After two appointments, repeated explanations, and following every instruction given, I'm still left waiting -- with no accountability, no guidance, and a very poor impression of the service.
Customer service is not just about processing documents -- it's about respect, communication, and professionalism. Sadly, none of that was visible here.
This whole experience has been mentally draining and deeply disappointing. The officer at APO-1 seriously needs to be trained in proper customer handling and basic courtesy. People deserve clear guidance and respectful treatment, not arrogance and confusion.
It's time this system changes -- because citizens deserve better.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Surat Passport Seva Kendra, particularly with the staff at APO1 and her colleague. Their behavior was extremely unprofessional and rude. They did not provide proper explanations to applicants and seemed to reject files without valid reasons.
One of them appeared to be a senior officer, yet her conduct was shockingly unprofessional -- more like someone recently hired with no proper training. It's alarming to see such behavior from government staff, especially in a public-facing role.
Employees like this seriously harm the trust and efficiency expected from government services. Compared to the courteous and efficient service provided in other countries, this experience was extremely frustrating. Immediate action should be taken to uphold the standards and dignity of public service.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) and was thoroughly impressed with the efficiency and professionalism exhibited throughout my experience. From the moment I entered, the streamlined process was evident, starting with the friendly staff at the reception who guided me through the initial steps. The token system at PSK ensures a systematic approach, minimizing wait times.
The well-organized waiting area, equipped with clear instructions and helpful staff, contributed to a stress-free environment. The biometric and document verification stages were handled with precision, and the staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and patient, making sure all queries were addressed. The entire process, from document submission to verification, was remarkably swift. The technology integration at PSK, including online application tracking and SMS updates, is commendable, providing applicants with real-time information about their application status.Additionally, the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility were noteworthy, reflecting the overall commitment to maintaining high standards.
The efficiency and professionalism at Passport Seva Kendra make it a standout institution for passport services. My experience was smooth, and I left feeling confident that my application was in capable hands. I highly recommend PSK for anyone seeking passport services, as it truly exemplifies excellent service delivery.

TCS can improve their service. They should mentioned clearly which documents they need for. They mentioned some options for proof, when we went there they stick with some proof may because of the simplicity in the process. Overall average experience inside the building. There is no free parking available, not even for the bikes. And no sitting or standing place for the people who came with applicants.

No sitting arrangement, people are sitting on ground literally, and inside the office also so many people are there, so no seat available to sit, people have to stand up there for ~45 minutes for their token to process (so work is not happening as per your online booking slot) as all counter are not working, They don't allow aadhar card with old photo as address proof, not sure why they need photo when proof is of address, they put my application on hold due to that, in 1 attempt work is not happening. I saw 2 people facing the same issue. Be ready to waste your time.
