Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK)

One of the worst experience with the staff due to the lack of adequate experienced staff at offline post office center ,I have faced this issue and lost 2 thousand because of that old fellow .I have applied passport renewal and by looking at passport one old fellow at right entrance suggested to reschedule at RPO Bhimawaram or Visakhapatnam saying my passport was damaged and can't take it but in fact it was not damaged. There are no immediate reschedules available at both RPO's and I lost 2 thousand rupees and take a fresh appointment on the next day at Chennai and got passport in 7 days and they were not having any objection with my old passport. Kindly replace the staff at offline centers with one who are aware of passport rules what to object and what to not .

Not for hurry bees. Very delayed process. It takes almost 2 months to get passport. 1)First of all the guy who checks document in Eluru POPSK is very annoying but not bad (He does not reject applications) 2)It took 45 days to approve my kid's application at Vishakapatnam Branch and still verification under process and yet receive passport 3)They have initiated Police verification for my 3 years kid. Normally No police verification for 3 years kid. Since I applied at Post office, They have initiated. I regret for applying here. If you need your passport in days then I would highly recommend to visit Vijayawada RPO. Because you would know if your passport is accepted and rejected immediately. Here it takes 2 months. Update: Police verification is over and I'm expecting passport dispatch. But today I just got a call from Vishakapatnam Passport office saying My kid's fingerprints got fade away. How can it be visible, if they take 2 months? Now I need to send Fingerprints copy. Received My kids Passport after 3 months. Really nightmare. I had plans to go to UK , luckily I decided not to go, otherwise I couldn't have taken my kid because of applying at this PSOPK. I applied my Passport from Vishakapatnam PSO few years ago. it took only 7 days. My wife applied renewal at Vijayawada, it took only 3 days to receive passport.

Overall Good Service, Passport dispatched in 2 weeks, here are the details: Scheduled Appointment: 20th Oct 2022 (Thursday) Worried after seeing bad reviews and people reporting slow process if applied here, but Staff were very helpfull and finished submission much earlier as it was less crowded, only if all the documents and details are matching to the application. In my case, I have carried only Aadhaar, Pan card original and two sets of xerox and Appointment letter. 25th Oct 2022 (Tuesday): Status changed to application sent for police verification. 27th Oct 2022 (Thursday): Police visited 02nd Nov 2022 (Wednesday): Status changed to police verification completed and passport application granted. 04th Nov 2022 (Friday): Passport Dispatched. The overall time taken here seems to be fair enough, in my case it took 2 weeks.

Staff are good and patient. But it will take months to get your application(both new and renewed) processed. Not sure what is taking them 3 to 4 months to process an application which gets complete with in weeks with others PSKs. This PSK is not definitely for people who want their new issuances or renewal to be done quickly.

The three members there were really cool and co-operative. They patiently clarified all my doubts. There were only a few people, no crowd. The process completed within 10min. If you want to get your passport soon (within 3-5 days), go to PSKs instead of POPSK. I got my passport on 8th day from the day I went to a POPSK.

Good place to courier any item like books, things etc. At low cost i had send books of 7 kgs they just take 245 rs but in other courier deliverys they told me the cost of 1400 rs that why i suggest you need to courier anything just go to your nearby post office . I had very good experience

Good service by staff. Well maintained.Those guys are cool, they will clarify all the doubts and even,so easy for an uneducated guy to proceed. Very few slots per day. Very free,work get done in 5min.In west Godavari ,Eluru Office is best for fast process.

Don't go if you have adhar related problems. They are checking every character to character. Required documents are Online Appointment Receipt 10th marks memo original and xerox Adhar original and xerox.
