Ashram has adjacent Hospital providing Medical Care to the community free of charge, supported by donations received, including dental care, Ayurveda Medicine and Monthly Medical Camp offers dozens of eye surgeries.
This ashram is dedicated to self-realization, sadhana, study and Community support.
Sivananda Ashram is place for sadhakas. Swami Premanandaji Maharaj, founder of this ashram is always available to help others. Hospital is there. Children get education. Swamiji is doing a lot for others. He is the oldest monk now in Uttarkashi. Enter to spend some time with him if you are passing by. Especially when you go to Gangotri please visit this place.

Heaven on earth . Must Visit . Ashram is super clean and on the bank of Ganga . Gangotri Just 85 kms . Uttarkashi 6 kms.
When we arrived at the ashram , me & my wife felt that now if the life ends here we will feel that the journey is completed .
When we went there , I have not any expectations of meeting a iluminated Mastes.
When I heard first lecture of Swami Premanand ji , I started feeling that my awareness is expanding , & becoming part of something limitless.
Most precious of this Ashram is easiness with all the Activities. The true meaning of Karma Yoga & Bhakti is chanelised from the heart.
There no no more desires to go further to see Gangotri as I felt that all my thoughts were purified by Swami jis easiness . By luck if you arrived one day there , just don't miss Swami ji's lectures at 9:30am.
