Coimbatore North - Regional Transport Office

This is a government office as usual, everyone knows how government office work is done. The office is not clean, the environment is dusty, there are a lot of cobwebs. There is no proper identification of which carry is to whom, the employees are irresponsible. The current world is shifting to AI technology, but still our government office works on 1970's technology, paper and register.

There is no proper sign board and no stapler stationery in few counters. No respect for the customer. I went for change of address for my two wheeler. The application was not accepted as I didn't produce original RC. I cancelled the application online. Later I found my original RC at home. I lost my application fees paid. Now I have to reapply again.

It was the second time that I was going here because of my license renewal after I got it 20 years ago. A lot has changed and you can apply for your license online or go through commission agents. The process is the same. In the end, you have to be there physically for your verification and for taking your photo, both for LLR, actual License, and renewals. It is a prominent place and is easily visible from the road and is noticeable from inside your vehicle. There is no covered vehicle parking provided and you will have to park in the sun and rain . There is private paid parking, but it is the same condition. It is well known RTO for Coimbatore North, but there are a few offices that are not wheelchair accessible. You have to take appointments with them before going there, else you will not be entertained and they will direct you to get an appointment. Currently, 100 per day are being allowed appointments. Be sure to be there, else you will need to take the appointment again. Staff are friendly and will answer all your questions and clear your doubts.

Very pleased with the seamless process to apply for driver license renewal and address change simultaneously. The officers are quite efficient and if your paperwork is in order, it takes very little time for the entire process. Keep up the good work.

Today i went for IDP approval. I have done the online process and paid the fees. Just went with all documents with proofs. RTO sir was polite and humble and approved and other staff in the counter guided me in the process and mentioned it get approved soon. As soon as i reached home i got my IDP approval message and downloaded the form. Kudo to Coimbatore Thudiyalur RTO.

There is no shade and chairs. It's very difficult for the elderly people and disabled. There is no drinking water and toilet facilities.

Driving license renewal and address change have been done. You can't park your vehicle inside. Even if we upload the documents in Parivahan, we want to carry all physical copies; otherwise, the application will not be validated. If we go with exact documents, only applications will be processed.

Went there for my license renewal and everything was smooth and easy. It barely took 15 minutes to do the process
