Chengalpattu district Collector Office

Almost all districts level department accommodated in one place. Accessibility to this office is bang on main road. 4 floors and 6 blocks till E exists. All lifts are functioning and staffs are very friendly and helpful

Very nice building structure and atmosphere of New District Collector office. All government office shifted from old collector office to here. works is going on not fully completed of in building. The following office notice board.

Buliding structure was awesome. Not enough Maintenance. Floor full of dusts. Restrooms were neat and clean. I visited fourth floor Staffs were polite. They refused give contact nos. Since the person is on leave. My job was not done yet. So I have to go there when I have the chance.

It's raining heavily,don't know why madam collector hasn't declare holiday, children and students health are more important than academics.

Went to know about my status of the security questionnaire for vigilance verification. Mr Nandakumar assisted us in this regard and was very professional. The whole complex was huge, with drinking water in each corner and restrooms on every floor which was satisfactory. Good maintenance from the government side.

We have been residents of Chingleput Town since 1940, and in the good old days, Chingleput Town had only a sub-collector, and the office was opposite the Ganapathy Temple. Now that it has become a district and has a separate district collector and a separate office, which is on the way to Venbakkam. The problem is tashildar office and sub-collector are in the old complex, and collector is stationed in the new complex. Often, one has to compute between these two places where the only transport is shared auto and government buses do not stop at these offices. Getting an appointment with the Collector is a herculean task and officials and staff over there avoid common citizens. I was waiting from 10 AM to 5 PM for a week to meet the then Collector who had been recently transferred to Perambalur, and they are often on a field visit. I fervently appeal to the recently posted Madam Collector to kindly instruct the officials opposite her cabin to allow for the public appointment on a given day with timings and to have a look at the room where citizens wait for an appointment with the Collector and advise them to move out if the Collector is not in her cabin.
