Passport Seva Kendra

I visited the Passport Seva Kendra in Kollam to apply for a new passport for my friend. The office is located on the top floor of a building, with Supreme Bakers on the ground floor and parking available in the basement. The place is usually quite busy, but you only need to arrive at your allotted time slot. The security staff guide visitors efficiently and provide clear instructions. The entire process was smooth, fast, and well-organized. All the staff were professional, courteous, and helpful throughout the visit. Overall, it was a great experience. highly recommended!

Visited the Kollam Passport Seva Kendra recently and had a good experience overall. The staff were polite, efficient, and helpful, and the security officers were also courteous. The office is tidy and clean, with excellent service throughout. It's convenient to have photocopy facilities available inside the office. The only drawbacks are that there's no proper waiting area for accompanying persons, most of them were sitting on the stairs. Parking space is quite limited for the number of visitors. Carry all the required documents (originals + photocopies)

Extremely bad tocken system.. Waiting in counter for 3 hours just for PCC application. The same process was done in chennai in 15 minutes. Time of every individual is extremely valuable.. Booked the slot for 12.15 pm. Process completed around 3.15 pm.

30th Jan 2026 visited this center for passport renewal. The access to the parking area and to the center is easy. Brought along all docs copy and original for scrutiny. But at the front counter they ask for additional documents. Example, copy of aadhaar and original is attached ,still they ask you to go to the nearby internet cafe and bring e-aadhaar copy. What's the use ,the cost is Rs 50/- and you have to go across the street. But when asked why is it required they have no answer. And then they want the ration card too. So better to carry ration card original with copy of family members page, and on the day of visiting the PSK take a print of e-aadhaar in colour copy and keep along. Remember if we take a copy by ourself we save ,time ,stress, energy and money. I believe these guys have a tie up with the internet cafe people. Remember to carry a bottle of water along, those who are aged pls ensure to bring along a bystander to run around in case of documents not mentioned in the application

Overall, the service at Passport Seva Kendra Kollam was good and the process was well organized. However, I was disappointed with the behavior of the lady at Counter A (TCS staff). The interaction felt unprofessional and disrespectful, which affected the overall experience and left a negative impression for the rest of my visit. On the positive side, the staff at Counter B and Counter C (Government employees) were polite, professional, and helpful. They handled the process smoothly and treated with respect.

My experiences this time was much better thn what I had on my last visit. More improvement in all aspects. More organized than ever before. No waiting time. Staff are much cooperative. In fact, impressive.

I had a confusing experience renewing my passport here. Despite bringing all my original documents, I was required to provide photocopies and a printout of my marriage certificate. Surprisingly, the facility only offers copying services--not printing--so I had to leave the building to find a print shop. The most frustrating part was that at the end of the process, the officer returned all the copies I had just made. It felt like an unnecessary waste of time and paper if they weren't going to keep them for the file. The process would be much more efficient if they had on-site printing or went fully digital.

My visit to the Kollam Passport Seva Kendra was smooth overall. The staff were polite and efficient, guiding me clearly through the process. Waiting time was a bit long, about 60-75 minutes, due to the crowd, but the formalities were quick once my turn came....
