Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Chamarajanagara

Went for my mother's passport verification. We din't know that marriage certificate was required. The officer herself gave us the draft copy of the declaration form and told us to bring it signed. She never mentioned that my father had to come inside and sign in front of her. My father was ready to sign, but because of work he had to leave after signing. For some other applicants, only the spouse's signature on the form was accepted and their verification was done, but in our case she behaved differently, delayed us for hours, and even mentioned she would put remarks against us. Both verification officers were not responsive and spoke rudely. Just because they are in a respectful government job does not mean they should treat citizens this way officers should guide clearly and behave properly with the public.

This place is inside the Indian post office campus and looks hidden from the main road (about 50 feets interior from the main road) They have pleasing staff and decent waiting area) Those ppl from mysuru who are applying for any passport related work can drive for an hour easily and get their work done with lil more efforts.

The passport verification process was very smooth and efficient--everything went well and the staff inside were helpful and professional. However, the watchman at the entrance was extremely rude. His attitude was unwelcoming and unprofessional. I strongly suggest that he be guided on how to treat people with basic courtesy and respect. First impressions matter, and this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the entire facility. Hope this issue is taken seriously, as the rest of the service was excellent.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Chamrajnagar PSK during a recent passport verification visit for myself and my father. The staff, especially those handling verification, showed a serious lack of knowledge about the process. Despite my father presenting all the required documents--including his Aadhaar card--the officer insisted on seeing the e-Aadhaar, which is not mentioned as mandatory when you have your original Aadhaar. As per the official instructions, any two valid documents should suffice, but we were asked to produce unnecessary and excessive paperwork and all original documents itself. We clearly explained that we had traveled all the way from Mysore, yet there was no empathy or flexibility. When I presented digital copies for verification, the officer refused them, saying originals were needed, yet failed to inform us that digital documents from DigiLocker are acceptable. This shows poor awareness and communication of current government norms. The staff did not provide any proper guidance, and many people seemed equally confused due to misinformation. In particular, a female staff member and the security guard were extremely rude and unprofessional. When I calmly questioned their process, they accused me of being arrogant. I was simply trying to clarify the requirements as an informed citizen and a legal professional. The way they shouted and tried to deflect their own mistakes onto visitors was unacceptable. I also witnessed other applicants, including an elderly couple, being mistreated simply because their documents were not immediately available on the desk--there was no attempt to help or explain. I strongly advise anyone from Mysuru or surrounding areas to avoid booking appointments at this PSK if you want a smooth and professional passport verification experience. Choose the Mysore PSK instead. The Chamrajnagar center lacks proper staff training, misinforms visitors, and behaves unethically. This was truly one of the worst experiences with a government service. I hope concerned authorities take note and work on improving the staff behavior and training at this center.

Carry all the documents in colour xerox along with originals And before submitting Adar card verify in the Adar card about any question marks in the Adar card ,if you find any question mark resolve it then submit it

If you want passport to be processed on time, kindly avoid this PSK. This PSK is complete waste of time. Every one at the PSK doesn't know how to speak politely including security guard. Officers behave like they own the ministry of external affairs. Arrogant. Rude. Egoistic . Please avoid unless you have lot of time and energy to go for subsequent appointments.
