Passport Seva Kendra

Passport Seva Kendra in Ankola is a much-needed facility and a great support for the people of Uttar Kannada and nearby areas. It saves residents from traveling long distances for passport-related services. However, there are a few challenges. The center has only one official managing everything, which becomes difficult, especially during busy hours. There are no support staff or helpers, so the official has to run around taking care of all tasks, leading to delays. Another issue is with the electricity. While there is power backup, the switch-over causes further delay in processing, especially when the crowd is large. Despite these issues, the center is a big relief for the local population. With a little more manpower and better infrastructure, the experience could be much smoother and faster.

Make sure you dedicate entire day for this. There no gaurentee you will get work done ontime. In case you are in urgency then better book appointment at different venues.

Nightmarish experience. Filthy environment. Waiting area is on the terrace. Rude officer. Threatened us multiple times that he'll withhold our passports.Wrongfully accused us of dirtying the toilets.Classless behaviour. .Reached at 10 am. Work got done at 8pm. Does not deserve even 1 star. Negative ratings. No consideration for infants. My one year old stayed hungry from morning till night. No feeding room available even after requesting. Extremely disappointing and hopeless place.

The place feels quite disorganized for handling something as sensitive as passport services. Only two staff members manage the entire operation, leading to long delays and a lot of unnecessary chatter. Surprisingly, even minor passport changes that would typically require a court order elsewhere seem to get cleared here without much scrutiny. Overall, a concerning experience.

Lucky I was because there were only two applicants. I applied for name change. It took around 30 minutes to process my documents. Documents required : Adhaar card, newspaper ad on regional and national newspapers, pan card, bank passbook with latest entries, old passport, SSLC marks card. Optional: marriage certificate, court affidavit, spouse passport copy. Take all original documents along with two sets of copies. All documents should have new name to be added to passport (SSLC marks card can be excluded) If you have to make copies you have to walk few steps to bus stand. The road takes u turn opposite bus stand, there you have Rajashri book stall.

Worst customer service. Simply wasting of time. For 10 minutes of work we have to wait for 3 hours. The person who works there simply talk with customer useless things

This is best place. Lot of people come from different place to verify their passport application. Come to this place with any two documents(Except pan card) having exactly same character information... Your work will be completed. Since only one officer (Mrs) is handling all work, taking minimum 20 minutes (max 30 min) for per passport application. And officer is very kind person.
