I recently visited the Post Office Anantnag to send a parcel, and the experience could definitely have been smoother. Even though my parcel was already properly packed, I was told to tape the box completely. After doing that, they checked again and said the contents inside were "moving" and asked me to repack it once more. Honestly, this was quite inconvenient. There should be clear instructions displayed about how a parcel needs to be packed -- maybe on a board or notice -- so people know the exact requirements beforehand. It would save both time and confusion for customers. What I didn't understand was why it was such an issue, since I've personally received many parcels where the outer box was larger than the contents inside, and it was never a problem. A little more clarity and consistency in their process would make the whole experience much better for everyone.

I've had multiple experiences with the post office located at KP Road, Anantnag (near the BSNL office), and unfortunately, they've often been disappointing. While the staff is generally polite, the overall service quality needs serious improvement. One major issue is the frequent delay in receiving parcels and letters. Even after items arrive at the post office, they tend to sit there for days before any delivery attempt is made. What's even more frustrating is that they sometimes redirect parcels to other post offices, even when the destination address is just 2-3 kilometers away. This adds unnecessary delays and confusion. It becomes difficult to track where your parcel actually is and when it will finally be delivered. The minimum charge for sending a letter or small parcel is 50, which is not unreasonable, but given the poor service and delays, it doesn't feel worth it. For people relying on timely deliveries--especially for important documents or time-sensitive parcels--this post office can be very unreliable. I hope the concerned authorities take steps to improve efficiency and delivery coordination. A little effort in managing the logistics better could really make a big difference.

I was having appointment on 5th April 2022 at post office Passport Seva Kendra Anantnag, when I entered the office there was a lady who was sitting on the chair I went to her as I was asked to check my documents from her by an employee there..She checked my documents in an inattentive way as She was busy in phone call with someone..After Checking my documents in an inattentive way she threw my certificates to my face which is extremely shameful and right after that I cancelled my appointment due to that shameful behaviour of lady staff member with me and I lost Rs 1500. .There I guess that her qualification may be 5 th pass or 8 th pass otherwise she didn't do that with my certificates..My suggestion to POPSK Anantnag is to replace her position by any other employee,that will be better for POPSK ANANTNAG..
