Police Check post Bhalukpong Arunachal Pradesh Police

Unlike many other entry gates to Arunachal Pradesh, Bhalukpong gate is easy for the travellers with EILP. You just have to show the EILP (soft or hard copy), register your vehicle details and driver's contact number. It takes only 5 minutes to complete the process. However, for offline pass in this gate, it is a bit time consuming in comparison to Ruksin, Roing, Kanubari, Dirak or Kimin gates. So always make your EILP by visiting Govt of Arunachal website if you want to enter the state through this gate.

Provisional Offline ILP ( Inner Line Permit) is issued at the check post at 150 Rs per person. There is a Xerox shop at the check post, where he will take basic documents like aadhaar card and two passport size photos. We were on bike, reached the spot at 9.30 am, we got our ILP document in hand by 10 am, within 30 min. Note: The office there opens at 10 am and shuts at around 4.30 pm and the office is shut during weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Reach within this timings to get Offline ILP, otherwise you have to return back. Online ILP is done at 500 rs per person. I tried for online ILP too, but due to some error money got deducted and ILP was not issued. But after two days i received my deducted money back in my account. So if you are reaching the checkpost during odd timings, you can apply for online ILP n get it done well in advance.

Foreigners show PAP here and Indians show their ILP while entering the state by road. We were asked to keep Aadhaar card handy but wasn't checked in our case. (Our travel agent obtained ILPs/PAPs in advance and we had a printout of this too)

We had a positive experience at the police check post in Bhalukpong. Traveling by bike, we were returning to Assam after visiting Tippi. The police directed us to the ILP office, where an official asked for our basic details and Aadhar cards, took our photos, and issued the ILPs within five minutes after we paid the fee. However, the entry gate can get quite crowded due to the narrow road and heavy traffic. Although we didn't encounter much traffic on our way in, we experienced significant congestion at the check post on our return in the afternoon.
